Have you guys watched the "all I can say" documentary? It's pretty good but doesn't add as much as I hoped. The behind the music is really good, too. I just started reading this book and love it so far. Really paints a much fuller picture
Would agree, pretty good but not great. The home video aspect makes it interesting.

Didn't even know there was a book, going to have to check that out!

Just for good measure...

As ND fans we all know the song “Here Come the Irish” that kicks off every ND game before “Shipping Up to Boston” plays. It was written by former ND player John Scully and sang by Cathy Richardson. While Cathy isn’t a household name, she is a very talented singer and toured w/ Jefferson Airplane where she did a nice job filling the role of Grace Slick’s vocals. Here she is singing their classic, “White Rabbit”

and here she is singing the song we all know & love

Been doing a deep dive into late 80s, early 90s hip hop. Kid N Play, Naughty By Nature, EPMD, etc.

This pops up randomly today. I was 12 when this song came out. I remember listening to it on a cassette tape on the Chicago Skyway on my way to an ND game. Such a cool song, and the sampling done here is outstanding.

I used to LOVE Pearl Jam. I remember where I was the first time I heard ‘Alive.’ Saw them play Soldier Field ‘95 and Indy ‘98 and ‘00. Then I kinda lost interest/wasn’t thrilled with their next couple of albums. I haven’t listened to any new PJ since ‘06.
I concur with this. The music on the new songs is good but Eddie ruins it imo.

I was at the '95 show too. PJ played on the Dead's stage set up from a couple of nights before, which was Jerry's last show. I had tickets for that show too but I gave them to my fiancee's friends cuz I wasn't a big Dead fan and had seen them enough. Gave away tickets to SRV's last gig too.

PJ's become my Dead or DMB. I've seen somewhere in the 30's. 40's if you include MLB, Mookie Blaylock and Temple of the Dog

I'll agree with that. Too preachy in his increasingly annoying Edtone.

Still 1-2-3 ... Ten / Vs / Vitalogy is probably unbeatable for me in R&R history
I love those three but don't listen to them much anymore. Every once in a while they'll come on the shuffle but I don't seem them out much.. Maybe I listened to them too much back in the day

Saw them in early 90s after 2nd album. Urge Overkill opened up for them.

Nice. Would loved to have seem MLB. Soundtrack for “Singles” is still one of my favs. Led me to purchase MLB 2-disc set that came out post Andrew’s death.

Singles is without a doubt Top 5 album for me. If I only had one record to listen to for the rest of my life... it'd be the choice.

It's the ground zero, touchstone for my own "Single" life while dabbling in the music world in '92-'93.

How do you feel about ‘The Crow’ soundtrack? Tell us more about your experience in the music world.
I know a guy who was/is guitar tech for Dokken and another guitar tech for Death Cab for Cutie. Man, do they have some stories…

The Crow Soundtrack is a Top 20 piece of work for me. Great line up. Big fan of Hank, Helmet, Rage, Femmes.

As far as my music "career"... I side-worked with my best man's band that toured regionally in IN, KY, IL while I was getting my teaching license. Roadie work, ran lights, worked with him & the band on song selection and sang when he got too fecked up... that led me to almost joining my cousin's new band but I got dream job offer in Chicago and closed the door on that part of my life.
