Never had Milagro but I can enjoy Corzo, and that says a lot as I typically cannot sit and just drink tequila.

We still have some bottles of limoncello from Capri we need to crack open...
Keep it for a special occasion. Like an anniversary or a Tuesday with your wife.

Slushy limoncello for me!

Hopslam was $17 for a 6 pack at WF so I passed.

Chocolatey bourbon residue from my tray of bourbon fudge. Judge me

$17 is actually a pretty good price. Usually about $20 here.
I don't trust it because my guess is it's about $2 to $3 cheaper when it gets to HEB. WF here either has very good deals ($7.50 for a Sierra Nevada seasonal) or is $3 more per six pack.

No we went to the one in Honolulu.

I'm guessing you're in that Naval group who just got in? Go to Pint n Jigger. If you're stuck around JBPHH I suggest making your way over to Henry Loui's. Total divey, local dig that has the best prime-rib french dip in Hawaii.

Wish I would of met up with you before we left. We are already on our way back to Cali now.

Had some cheap Cava earlier. Little bit of Woodford, a cigar, and a Sierra Nevada Hazy IPA chaser

I was able to buy a single can of Hopslam, but it didn't taste right to me. Maybe a bad can or my taste buds were off, but it was nothing like the can I had last year.

I've become very wary of cans & bottles. The handling of them once they get off the distributors trucks can be pretty shoddy. No attention paid to the temperature of storage space, not rotating stock for freshness, etc, are pretty common, especially in grocery stores. It's one of the biggest frustrations of beer distributors and brewers that I talk to. Keg handling is usually much better because they're going to bars & restaurants that generally have staffs that give a damn about the product they are selling.

I got this at a Whole Foods and trust them w/r/t handling the beer. I do get to enjoy some Hopslam from a keg on Friday though, which I'm looking forward to

Happy birthday! Let us know what cigars you indulge in.

Jonny Walker Blue

I purchased a box of Padron 1964 Principe Naturals for the party. Haven't had one in years. Love those sticks!

Had a pisco sour at this Peruvian restaurant, tonight. It was interesting. Like an airy margarita.

Had a couple of tal cans of a local Boysenberry Sour... not excellent but fair to call it 'solid'... I'd get it again.

That is a good price considering a six pack. It sells here for $18 and up.

Okay, my fine whisky brethren. I have a decision to make. So, the bday party is coming up, and I'm trying to figure out what Scotch to buy.

Here are the finalists, and their approximate pricing:

Macallan 15 Fine Oak - $130
Macallan 17 Fine Oak - $290
Macallan 18 - $270
Macallan 18 Fine Oak - $270
Macallan 21 Fine Oak - $700ish

The 15, 17, and 21 are at this store right by my house. Their stuff is priced high, but he always has cool stuff. 15 Fine Oak is one of my all-time favorites, and I had 18 at last year's party. I want something different.

I can get 18 Fine Oak (which I've never had) for less than the 17 Fine Oak at my local store. I could also go crazy, and pick up the 21 Fine Oak. I don't know if the 21 is worth that price.

What would you choose?
