Who you got? I'm taking Va Tech, its rainy and wet. I think that helps Va Tech's defense and special teams a lot.

I'll ride the Miami bandwagon. should be a fun game to watch

Funny. On ESPN HD I get some college football overdrive crap, but on the non-HD channel I get the game....

I just missed the first 6 minuets and a touchdown. I now I can't watch it in HD.... great

I get the same HD/Regular cable crap. I'm going with Va Tech - already 1 loss - everyone needs a loss for obvious reasons. U can redeem themselves against Oklahoma. The Jacory Hype needs some sanity.

Jacory Harris= ESPN hype and is terrible.

Why do they always think these guys with 2 good games will be amazing?

I agree with that. I just didn't think he was that good in the other games from what I saw.

never said he was bad, just said he was the most over rated QB in a long time. Seriously, he is like 2nd in ESPN's heisman watch. VT's defense is good but a heisman caliber QB doesnt go for 2-10 passing

Most over rated - Mark May had Mallette as the best QB in football - would take him over anybody except Marino.... LOL

The power of the media is rediculous these days, I knew as soon as they got on Miami's nuts it would get way out of hand!!! At least we didn't have to wait long for the world to see the truth. Thanks Va Tech!!! My guess is there going to start saying the ACC is one of the best conferences, like the SEC, just because they all beat each other and don't drop in the polls!

You guys kill me. We all get pissed that Tebow is on the Heisman watch, even though he's played 2 JV teams and a crappy Tenn team, and he had 2 turnovers vs. Tenn. We all know he shouldn't be on that list right now. Same thing with Mr. INT, Colt McCoy.

And then you have Jacory Harris, a kid who has played and beaten 2 RANKED teams, and he looked damn good doing it. And now you're saying he SHOULDN'T have been on the list??? So you'd rather have guys that have worse number than him having played against WORSE competition than him on the list?

Bottom line, he absolutely deserved to be on that list...because he earned it on the field through 2 games. He didn't earn it through last year's stats, as it should be. Yes, the media OVERDID the hype, but that's what they do. He definitely deserved to be mentioned, but they set him up so high he had nowhere to go but down.

I'm fine with Harris getting the Heismna hype before today, because it's a 2009 award, not a Lifetime Achievement award. And now that he took himself out of it, that means JC with a good game will get the love he deserves (actually, he probably won't, but oh well)...

ND.InLA - Come on- Fla St. (and BYU) are overrated. The ACC is overrated and they are lowly regarded.

Ga. Tech is not known as a Defensive wonderkind.

Miami wins a few games and jumps 30 spots - BYU beats a wounded Oklahoma and BAMM!!! top 10. Ole Miss. beats Florida last year (who should have had to deal with Texas) and I don't think would have beat (but, I digress).

Hype is out of control.

Absolutely. But at the time, those teams were ranked, and he led his team to victory, and he starred in the process. That's what I want from my Heisman candidate.

Now, I didn't think he was that good coming in to the season, and I said on another thread that FL St.'s pass defense was HORRIBLE. I have no problem with anyone saying he is overrated. My whole point was that he absolutely deserved to be named in the Heisman Watch over guys like Tim Tebow and Colt McCoy......THROUGH 2 GAMES. Those 2 guys had played nobody and had worse stats than Harris. Like I said, it's a 2009 award...not a lifetime achievement award...

You can see what I think of Tebow in the Tebow thread - And, I didn't even mention that he is surrounded by 1/8th of the next four year's first and second rounders.

Hey, all you have to do is play teams like UTEP and put up 64 points and pad the hell out of your stats to be a Heisman contender. It doesn't matter what the quality of your opponents are these days.
