Man they play dirty and reckless. I have too many examples.
- begining of the game by sc sideline D. walker get mugged
- JC slides and galippo hits him leading with head, this is not the NFL when he is down its over (agin by sc bench infront of refs)
- Parris gets his head ripped off twice. (second time it was called... 1st time by sc's bench)
- Tate recovers fumble, falls and sc just muggs the crap out of him.
-Late hits on jc all day.
- Most of the non calls happend by the sc bench so there is your answer, if anyone has any i missed, please share but it was ridiculus, and they never stopped yappin at us.

Also on the second to last play on the incomplete slant to Tate one of the dbacks was talking a lot of smack while leering over his face when the play ended. I think it would have been called under normal circumstances but not on the last play of the game. (at the time, it was the last play)

Taylor Mays is a dirty player also. He must be mentored by Rodney Harrison.

You could look at it the other way, too.

How about Tate flexing and pointing to his bicep after his first touchdown? Or Tate punching the drum of the USC band member.

Yeah I personally don't think the refs had much to do with the game. After this first half we had 1 penalty for 8 yards and they had 2 penalties for 5 yards. I mentioned to my buddy, the refs didn't have much to do with the game, and I like that. I also think they did a great job of calling the play were Robby got his head knocked off.

my focus is more on how sc played the game than the refs, yes i do mention where the plays happened because i think it matters but the point wa the way they played

USC did play dirty! I cannot believe Parrish got his helmet ripped off twice and only one was called. I think the player should have been thrown out of the game both times. That is so dangerous and it should not be acceptable!

next years game better be payback! I'm sick of these ghetto illiterate punks with million dollar scholarships push us around!

It seemed to me like most of them are just stupid. Everson Griffen gets a sack and starts flexing. The ref goes up to him, probably telling him to cut it out, but he just keeps flexing and gets the penalty. Then he whines about the call.

but if you look closely the drummer shoved the drum in his face. but all and all the refs really didnt have anything to do with the game.

I don't think he shoved it in his face, but he did make zero effort to move as Tate came crashing toward him. Then when he's getting up, he has a drum hanging over his head. Dude should have move, I would, and Tate shoulda kept his cool. He's been teetering on the border with his emotions the past few games, he'll probably get called on it sooner or later.

I think Tate had a bad child hood experience with marching bands...

I think the refs actually did pretty good and let the players play the game. Two calls that should of been called though: late hit on Clausen and the first helmet rip on Parris. That happened in front of me and he put his face right into the refs. I'm kind of surprised he didn't get called for that, but more surprised it wasn't called on USC.

We don't play for ND therfore of job as fans is to talk about what did and didn't like about the game, we are not the ones playing so i don't think we need to block it from our minds because it won't effect how we play because we aren't.

yes usc is dirty as hell....oh well, we need to take the high road and play thru the thuggish mentality.

i think the refs did a good job overall. they didn't effect the outcome and did an admirable job of keeping an eye on the cheap shots for the most part. they did miss the one of parrish where his helmet was knocked off right in front a referee.

then AA was held up after his forward progress was stopped and a usc player came in with a late hit. can't stand dirty play like that.

i like it when a player has a certain nastiness about him, but being dirty is not cool.

I like the teams swagger. I love seein Tate look down at Mays in the end zone. Shows we will not be intimidated. I gaurantee you that SC doesnt want to play us again

I was sitting right in front of the USC dance-girls - the play before Everson's stupid ass strong man taunt - on the kick-off. A USC player threw about 6 punches into the mask of someone on the ground that he was on top of - I haven't watched video - anyone see that. I was cussing my ass off.

Not sure about that

Not sure about that

Taylor Mays is a dirty player also. He must be mentored by Rodney Harrison.

I saw Mays putting his arm around Tate and Allen on more than one occasion and giving them a pat on the head after they had made some good plays. I thought he seemd like a good sport as much as I would prefer to hate hm.

I saw Mays give Tate some pats - not punches - on the play where he went into the band.

I don't think Mays is that dirty, but I think he was frustrated at playing cover 2 the whole game and whenever he had a chance to make a hit, if it was going to be a late one, he went for it.

The only problem I have with Mays is that he seemingly aims for the head every time he makes a tackle.

It's funny how two different sides see the game so different. For every non call you claim the refs didn't call, I can give you one BS call or one going the other way. The game was closer than it needed to be as Pete took the foot off the gas. It should have never come down to that last series.

By the way. Physically impossible to take a 3 step drop, throw the ball 10 yards in 3 seconds. So either the clock didn't start on time or stopped early.

Tate looked good but for every show boating / taunting call USC got he should have got just as many.

And the problem with Mays isn't he is a thug, he is playing NFL ball. He is leading with shoulder and not wrapping up. If he goes low and wraps up instead of always trying to lay the lumber he wouldn't have missed Tate on that TD. Which by the way I'm sure he will never hear the end of.

We cant say shit about taunting because Tate does it seemingly every single play. Tate is great but that bullshit is gonna get noticed and we are gonna get screwed with one of those kickoffs from our own 15 yard line at the end of a close game one of these weeks. Hes been there plenty of times now, he needs to start acting like it.

Ok i respect your take on mays i didn't have a huge problem with him, but what is your take on galippo hitting clausen after the slide infront of the rfs and sc bench,(not the nfl), also tate recovering parris fumble, falling down then getting mugged afterward. Also sc players throat slashing to our fans, and their is a picture of i think a sc TE flicking off ND fans from behind in warm-ups... very classy

As a whole USC is not a class team. I think they stand out with the Miami's of Florida St. of CFB. Set your expectations low for USC and accept it. I think Barkley is a good kid and his religion keeps him grounded. USC sets no standards for their players which is also reflected in their graduation rates. We just need to get back to winning which I think we can look forward to next year.

Players taunting each other is one thing, but taunting the fans shows poor sportsmanship and is unacceptable. I was sitting in the student section and during a TV timeout, a USC DB (either #26 or #36, I don't remember) stood out of the referees' sight and made many gestures towards the students, including throat slashing gestures and a masturbatory gesture. It was very disrespectful. I would be disappointed if one of our players acted like this.

That's the kind of shit that is sick. I'm sure it happens more than we want to think it does, but those are some of the things that don't get called that piss me off.
