Here's the messed up part. NOTHING WILL BE DONE ABOUT IT. Maybe just a slap on the wrist. If this were one of our athletes he or she would be booted ot the team and campus.

WYOMING, Mich. -- Michigan running back Kevin Grady was arrested early Wednesday morning and will be arraigned next week on a misdemeanor drunken driving charge.

Kent County Jail records show that the 22-year-old was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond. Grady is to be arraigned July 9 in the Grand Rapids suburb of Wyoming.

He's a graduate of East Grand Rapids High School, where he set state scoring and rushing records. Grady missed all of the 2007 season due to a knee injury sustained during spring drills.

Wolverines coach Rich Rodriguez said in a statement that the matter will be handled internally after he meets with Grady and reviews the details.

Rodriquez let Pac Man Jones stay on the WVU team even after he broke a pool cue across the face of another student and had to wear an ankle bracelet tracking device for a year.

This kid will have to run a lot. That's probably it.

I despise UM as much as anyone else, but didn't Hand return to the team after his arrest, and Yeatman after his DUI? What is the difference?

Great point, I completely agree.

Good point but the difference there is that Michigan wont even discipline him. Grady wont have to worry about being "reinstated" like Hand and Yeatman. I see where you are coming from and totally agree but the discipline level between us and them is totally different.

I was trying to remember who lived in GR, NDOM! Born and raised off of Byron Center and 44th Street in Wyoming. I wondered who tipped off the police that Grady was trolling Division Ave. wit a little too much of the boozie in his system!

there's no difference as far as i can tell with what Hand and yeatmen did compared to this Michigan player. However, I believe Yeatment lost his elgibility for football and for lacrosse. granted it was spring football, but there was a penlaty. whether Yeatman would have been suspended from the season if this happened over the summer i don't know.

if anything happened to Hand i don't know. but i also believe he is no longer playing because of a physical condition. (maybe i'm thinking of someone else)

i guess if there is no discipline or if he is suspended from the games agains their weakest opponents, then you can cry foul.

FWIW Hand was never actually charged with anything, and it is believed he was victim of entrapment. not that this completely exonerates him, but it probably explains his lack of punishment.

Sweet dude. I saw his drunk ass swirving this way and that and yelling out the window "The hell with Notre Dame" ha ha ha. Yeah we are pretty much from the same area then. Born in Grand Rapids and still live here but on the northeast side now that I bought a house. Great neighborhood. I used to live downtown but way too much crime down there. Next time yur in town let me know maybe we can go out for a beer or watch one of the upcoming ND games.

Why should anything be done about it? It's not like he was driving a 2007 Denali(hmmm) and endangering other peoples lives. Oh wait...HE WAS

Sounds good. It may be a while, see 'Additions to the Team' thread. Wife pregnant with twins, we live in Texas. Due in Sept/Oct. I actually have to give my season tix to my dad this year, had a SDSU/UM trip all planned out.

We'll have to stay in touch for '09...

We all know the Skunkbears has no morale's. Rodgriguez damn sure dont have none. Like a previous post stated. This man let Pacman play even though he practically commited manslaughter on another player. I'm still wondering how Rodgriguez explained that to the kid parents?

i dont think there was any doubt that yeatman would be reinstated, if i'm not mistaken i believe hand was suspended for the first 3 games of the season last year but i doubt yeatman will miss any time

The way I see it, Yeatman missed an entire season of Lacrosse. Remember he was among ND's leading scorers in lacrosse and he was a freshman all american. That's big time punishment.

Don't forget the semseter that McArlney spent away from campus either for about the same type of infraction.
