Who would you rather see win a championship? I can't stomach U.S.C. winning another championship.

For Ty to win the National Championship, that would mean that the world would be coming to an end and / or monkeys would fly out of my patoot.

I want to live and the pain of having monkeys emerge from my rectum is too much to bare.

BUT I really would not want to see USC win either, so I vote neither.

I might have to go with Pete b/c then he would decide to go back to the pros and USC would come back to earth. Unless Washington drops to 1AA they are not going to win much.

wtf is with the Ty hate around here... did he do a good job? well the guy did get fired, but come on, he was our coach... How can anyone compare SC's coach with one of our former head coaches??

that's my stance

I heard that Xavier was starting/has a club football team again. Is that not true? I recall hearing about it when We Are Marshall came out, and Xavier was the team they beat. Now, I know club isn't the same at all, but...

and I would much rather Ty win. How is this even questionable? ND fans would really rather USC and Pete win another title than see a former coach and a good guy have success? sure, he didn't have the success we would have liked him too (although sometimes I wonder if some "fans" even wanted him to succeed by the last season, so as to hurry his departure, kinda ironic in my opinion), but good grief. the level of hate is ridiculous.

Nobody hates the guy, but nobody wants him to win a National Championship before Weis does so we can hear how ND is racist and Weis sucks and this is why ND will suffer from mediocridy forever and the backlash will be severe and really annoying. I liked Ty when he was here and was rather pissed off when he got fired, but then I got into recruiting around this past December and notice that Ty didn't recruit sh*t and didn't give his all to be kept around by ND. Now we have Charlie and realize that he gives the team a swagger and works harder then any other coach recruiting. Do I agree with the Ty hate? no, but I also realize that Weis just makes him look all that much worse. I don't want Poodle to win another NC, but we all know it's a definate possibility and probably will happen this year, but for Ty to do it at Washington? The backlash would be unreal. I want Ty to win at Washington and have a good career there, but not a NC....not before Weis.

ok, that's good to hear. but the question wasn't about winning before charlie, it was about winning period instead of pete. I would hate for him to win before Weis too. I agree, the backlash would be horrible, and besides, every year that goes by without ND winning a championship regardless of who wins it is painful.

and i question your statement that no one hates Ty b/c I've seen and heard a lot of things (I'm not necessarily even talking about this board) that I would constitute as hate or at least very, very, very strong dislike.

To me this question is like would you rather have the Clap or Herpes.

Guess I am going to go with Poodle, only because I hate him as a rival coach and I think he is a shaddy bitch on the recruiting front, but I respect him as a coach. Least he gets out there and works his ass of recruiting and as a coach.

Ty on the other hand doesn't seem like he works at all, he just lets the shit come to him and he damn near dragged ND into the shitter.

For that reason alone I would say Poodle. Now if you excuse me I have to go wash my mouth out with soap for even saying this.

The Poddle is the worst enemy. He relish kiccking our butts up and down the stadium. Yes Ty would love to do the same, but at least he has a personnel gripe against us. I would never in my life root on the USCUM. I will tip my hat to TY and move on.

Let's Go Dame !!!

This, IMO, is an unrealistic question based on Washington's lack of talent & their upcoming schedule. The Huskies' starters couldn't crack USC's 3rd string & most would probably be cut by the Poodle.

that being said, I'm looking long-term, & I don't want USCum to have more NC than ND.

I too would have to say PC. Ty at least has some respect being a previous head coach and all. Funny stuff irishnd31

Ugh. Pete I guess. That's like asking if you would rather have ur eyes where ur tits are and vise versa, or ur nose where your gouch is and vise versa. Ty needs to keep losing so that people understand how bad he screwed us.

TGolden, Xavier did get a club football team, but they would get smoked by several ND hall teams.

As for the question...How about a giant earthquake sends the whole west coast sinking into the ocean? I would say Ty, but the backlash would be worse than when we fired him, and by a lot.

Pete and Pete and Pete. I do not like Pete or USC, but I will give him the fact that he came into SC and built them back to a power. He recruits like a mother and gets the kids to play for him. On the other hand, Ty was only two years from sending us into a place I am not sure ND could have ever recovered. He was making no changes to improve his staff and most defining of all was his recruiting. He was HORRIBLE at recruiting. He did not put any effort into recruiting. We were bringing in players that belonged playing in the MAC and other mid major schools. Two more classes like that and we would have been struggling to beat the likes of Navy, Duke and Stanford this year. He did not embrace ND and truly did not work hard while here. He did play alot of golf in SB. Remember this as you feel any woes for TY, he was paid more by ND this year than Charlie. Yes, he is still on the payroll. TY deserved what he got. Shame on him for doing an incomplete job!!!

If we're not talking about one of these guys winning before us, I would say Ty. For all his flaws he runs a clean program.

If it's a choice between Ty or Pete before we win, I gotta go the other way, and it's due to my feelings for Ty. The reason I feel animosity for Willingham is his interivew before the UW-ND game in 05. In that interview he said he thought his firing was racially motivated. BULLSHIT Ty, you got fired because you didn't meet the win-loss terms of your contract. ND learned their lesson from Davie & didn't keep a coaching staff around that wasn't working out. I wish him well at UW but if I have to choose Pete or Ty win before us, I won't choose Ty.
