The one thing that may keep it from being the highest rated college football game ever is that it is on cable. I know most have it but some do not.

If it was on ABC then it would be a different story. Disney should step up and starting airing the championship games on ABC again. I'm not rich by any means but do have satelite so I'm good but I'm always looking out for the little guy.

no kidding. my parents dont have cable. It was bad enough when they took away monday night football. Now you cant even watch a big bowl game...THE big bowl game...on national TV anymore. what has this world come to?

one could argue that they are slitting their own throat in the longrun--more people could get hooked on college football if they air a really exciting game on national tv. I'm sure there are a bunch of people that don't care about CFB but would tune in to a national title if they see it while flipping channels.

It does suck, but from ABC's perspective you can't put Dancing with the Stars on ESPN.

That won't hurt ratings at all.

People that don't have cable need to get on their rotary telephones and catch up with the 80's.

This will in fact be the most watched and bet on National Championship ever.

Well I suppose that is the exception isn't it? I know quite a few people that don't have cable but do have high speed internet. I've often considered doing the same.

You can find pretty much anything online and for me, the deal breaker... it's cheaper than cable.

I think young people won't have a problem watching the game, it's the older folks who are pretty much effed.

Edit: I though I read an article that said the growing trend among younger people is no TV.
