My never-fail recipe for disaster:

1. Start off at the Oyster Bar for a bite to eat (I seem to recall good club sandwiches and mediocre oysters), a few Buds, and some pool.
2. Then cross the street and head to McCormick's for a couple Labatts, a cigarette, and some grungy townies.
3. Follow that up with Corby's, where you pound $1 Pabst straight out of the cans, load up the juke box, and sing and dance like a maniac.
4. And then finish your night at the Linebacker, bringing it home with the classics, both musical (I don't believe I ever heard a night end without Livin' on a Prayer and Paradise By the Dashboard Light, to name just a couple) and alcoholic (huge cans of Coors Light).

The only faves of mine this leaves out are Frank's Place (also good for a burger and some grizzly townies) and -- of course -- Club 23 (good for nothing except some peace and quiet).

Gosh, that brings back memories ...

I would avoid the Oyster bar at all costs. I'm not a big fan of the linebacker either....its a shithole. A good place to go is.... ..... ... I guess Corby's is ok. Sometimes its too busy to even get a damn drink, but probably not this time of year. Most of the bars around here were my work accounts as recently as last year, so maybe I'm using anger instead of logic. lol. Anyway, just hit a few, you have plenty of time for that from now on. Happy Birthday too!

 Linebacker is more country :cowboy: now than classic rock, but you can still have a good time there. Just avoid the occasional drunk trying to throw a punch,:boxing: (they almost always miss) don't slip on the floor from all the spilled beer, and try to stay away from the windows where all the broken bottles and crushed beer cans end up. Oh, and make sure that you are already plastered when you walk in the door.

Always remember God protects drunks & little children. :alcohol:

Have a great 21st.

Congrats man!!

The rule for us here in Akron... you never sleep in your bed on your birthday. Either find a hottie early or settle for a nottie at close. Enjoy

Friends should be buying for you. Although I think my buddies didn't have any money that nite and I forked out most of the dough. Bastards!

Avoid the Oyster Bar? Anger instead of logic indeed ...

I realized I forgot to include the new, revamped Vine if you're up for some class and a good martini.

But seriously, hit up Corby's and one or two others and then close out the night at the 'Backer. You can't go wrong ...

Hey thanks everybody!!!! I had a blast! I started out at my Uncle Jerry's house and he made me have a couple shots of Patron then I met up with my pops and we went 2 a few hole in the walls, I can't recall the names of them but I wanted 2 get a good buzz goin b4 I went 2 the nicer ones...So then we went 2 the Oaken Bucket, and had a blast, I really like that place. Plenty of room and was talkin 2 a very hot bartender for awhile which made it even better... They offered me a free shot of choice and I had 2 go with Jameson Whisky...it is verrry good Irish whiskey...that one was for all of my fellow Irish fans! So then my dad keep gettin me shots and I had a Long Island Iced tea which was verrrry strong! They finally let me start drinkin beer again so I had a Blue Moon on tap with an orange, it was really good! By the time we left there, I was up 2 3 beers and 5 shots downed in a matter of 2 hours! We went 2 Corby's and I really enjoyed it there, it was the best bar of the night! They gave me a few free shots that tasted like chocolate cake...very tasty! I went on to spill some all over my shit along with the sugar from the lime! Then these coo ppl bought me a Yager bomb and my god, by then I was reaaaaallllly smashed! So then we went and played pool and that was hilerious, I can't believe I hit some in! Finished the night with with a Stella Artois and went home around 2....I then threw up cuz I couldn't sleep and I had 2 wake up for work at 630! Well thanks for the bday wished and hope 2 c u guys around the bars sometime!
