Yup, 2 years at a powerhouse like Kansas should be plenty of time to turn the team around

They had a taste of the top 25 with the last coach and now want it...ALWAYS.

I perhaps would have given him another year, but 5 wins in two years with only two being over teams from a BCS conference is pretty unimpressive. The team became worse this year with only one win over a FBS team (Northern Illinois) and that was only by 3 points.

I was surprised it took this long...Gill was in over his head. Having success at Buffalo isn't the same as coaching in the Big XII. Kansas never should have gotten rid of Mangino. The guy won them a freaking Orange Bowl...Kansas...an Orange Bowl! They should have named the stadium after him! He may have been rough I his players...wah. Discipline him, but don't can the only coach that made KU football anything.

We regressed like crazy this year. There are times when teams have players in the right place, but get beaten physically. KU was confused on the field for most of the season.

We also gave up 42, 66, 45, 70, 47, 59, 43, 31, and 61 in various games this year. Georgia Tech put up more than 768 yards against us (over 600 rushing).

He was 1-16 in the Big XII.

Anyone watching knew that this thing wasn't going to get better anytime soon under Gill. It has pretty much been a foregone conclusion around here that he'd be gone...starting about 4 weeks ago.

Too bad. I do really like the guy.
