Turkovich injured at practice

OL Turkovich was hurt yesterday in practice. According to an eye witness, "they put him on a board, then put him on a gurney, and then waited 20 minutes for the ambulance." It has been labeled as "precautionary," which sounds like a neck strain, stinger or something else like that.

Weis updated the situation at the presser. Sounds like it was a concussion, but Weis didn't specifically state that... just said he was knocked groggy and woozy.

Charlie reported in his post practice interview that Turk got hit in the back of the head. Latina quickly noticed he didn't look right. Trainers and doctors responded. Backboard and ambulance were precautionary. He's out of the hospital and wants to be back on the field but Charlie told him to take a week. He'll be evaluated then and return if approved. Charlie noted he spoke to Turk's dad by phone from the practice field.
