The US is barely top 50 in world life expectancy and barely out paces all of those countries, and actually trail one of them. You'd think we'd be number 1 with head start we had.

Understanding graphs and the context of the graph isn't their strong suit. You'd think a medical doctor would understand the medical advancements of the 80's and how those advancements impacted life expectancy.

That graph clearly shows an increase in life expectancy after all of the New Deal programs were initiated. This just means the New Deal socialist programs are responsible for the increase.

Chick-fil-A is a confirmed socialist program is what I'm taking away from this conversation. Which is exactly why you'll never catch me eating there

It's just so annoying how Trump and this admin operate and how they lie and distract on their way to accomplishing their authoritarian objectives which were the plan all along...

He’s not going to hire a murderer,” Trump said. “When you go into a farm and he’s had somebody working with him for nine years doing this kind of work, which is hard work to do, and a lot of people aren’t going to do it, and you end up destroying a farmer because you took all the people away, it’s a problem.” Visa sponsor programs can cost farmers up to $39/hr for each worker (and we know that ain't gonna happen) so they will likely pitch this as a win / win where migrant worker gets some wages (pretty low I'm sure) and in return are servitude'd to the farmer, a kind of worker slavery.

I'm telling you Trump and this New Right-controlled admin are hell bent on chaos, destruction, and control & compliance. Some call it "End Times Fascism."

I wish he would just come out and say what his real objectives are, but of course he won't do that.
He conditions with previews his and admin's crazy ideas, repeats them out loud in increased frequency as the action draws near, and then when he feels he's at a point where he can pull it off without much resistance, he pulls the trigger on another authoritarian action or law.

Sorry, farms aren't that automated yet, especially smaller ones. I see migrant workers picking produce all over So Cal and no machines in sight.

All you did is paste an X post about the strategy that Trump's army of New Right lawyers used to dismantle checks and balances to slam through their bills, especially in re: to immigration

Sure, I'm speculating but not talking about anything that's very possible where farmers and ICE have leverage over the farm workers as in "take this deal or be deported." We'll see how this idea plays out.

And everything I stated about the Epstein files is all facts except we'll have to wait around and watch the ending but it sure looks like Trump walks away scot free and maybe others will be called out and implicated instead which is horse shit because we know Trump was in deep w/ Epstein.

Lastly, it's a fact that Washington DC. was managed by the Federal govt from 1874 to 1973, so could easily happen again, but yes it's speculation re: what will happen in terms of a Freedom City, but this also is not out of the realm of possibility for this admin.

People who didn't vote for Trump and supported open borders for decades have a problem with illegal immigration enforcement - shocking revelation there. I would wager of the 77M who voted for Trump, more think ICE isn't going far enough versus think its gone too far. Cry more.

I get you guys worship Uncle Donnie. I get it... Drain the swamp, root out waste, squeeze out all the far left lunacy (even tho' a minority of the left), more moderate Republicans are still owned by the system, etc. And I agree - altho' I admit I've never done a deep dive into it, I do think we have had a lot of abuse in the system when more moderate GOP and the Democrats have been in charge, and a more coordinated global economy and system where large corporations do very well with that more frictionless (and punishing to many) global economy; and that the U.S. worker (and probably the middle class) has lost out in that system starting in the mid 70s, and accelerating over the last 45-50 years.

The only problem is that Uncle Donnie's and his motley crew's alternative is not what it seems, and is even more dangerous because it seeks to dismantle our liberal pluralist democracy - warts and all - and turn into a de facto one-party authoritarian government and society dominated by Big Tech, National Christians, and uber nativists (oh hell, let's just say it - they don't like brown folks w/ accents).

Sorry, but between the two, I'll take our imperfect liberal pluralist democracy because it's the best we got; undoubtedly, there's room for improvement - a rooting out of corporate lobbyism and influence that hasn't played nice with workers and the middle class. But a wholesale destruction of our up-to-now successful form of government and overall wealth and success is not the answer.

You still traffic in the two-dimensional world of Republicans (of course, now angry Maga Republicans) and Leftist Luny Dems and think anyone who challenges Trump and this admin just has TDS and it's sour grapes. But there is so much more going on here with what this New Right movement is trying to do, but most of you just don't see it; and you won't until it's too late. And Trump does a great job of being the lightning rod for Mad Maga and positioning it as "we're draining the swamp and rooting out the Libtards," etc., keeping his mega-mad base distracted so that they can't see what's really going on and so that they'll continue to be good Maga Madmen, lashing out at the Dems and crazies! If you're white, male and conservative (likely a lot of peeps on IE), it will be a while before you experience any pain from what's happening, but again, it will come... Only a matter of time.
