Keep up, education is the best proxy we have available for intelligence. One of the great things about getting an education, it allowed me to actually study this data and unsurprisingly it hasn't changed in the 12-15 years since I last looked into it. You can thumb your nose at the actual data but you won't be taken seriously in any professional setting if you disregard data to trust your own vibez and feelz. Did you read further into what Dakota was saying or do you just think that because he responded to me that he is in direct opposition to everything I said and you'd like to just side with him because you know he will actually do the heavy lifting for you? He generally agreed with me on the premise that more education leads to more intelligence on average.

This is like being shown pictures of the Earth from the ISS and saying "yaaaaa but like I can't feel the earth spinning".

What this chart, again, fails to acknowledge is that all degrees aren't created the same and that many folks without degrees are lapping those with useless degrees. And level of education is only the best barometer YOU have chosen for this discussion.

Considering less than 40% of Americans have a college education, one could try to argue (incorrectly) that the majority of Americans are uneducated. That doesn't mean 40% of Americans are poor or have low IQ.

Because this all started when you chimed in disagreeing with me that poor and uneducated voters are part of Trumps base.

If you have less education….you are less educated…..if you are less educated you tend to have a lower income. This is not a hard concept, I know the feel good stories of your personal experiences make you feel good but on average those aren’t what the data says. It’s like saying 3 stars are just as good as 5 stars because sometimes 5 stars don’t work out.

Welcome to the club.
You do understand that Boeing just went through a great reduction in stock during Biden's term right?
It wasn't because of their safety rating either.

Keep getting your news from a parody account.
Regardless of the account that has the news. It's real. Look It up, instead of degrading the accuracy of the Trump Administration's success.
It's just the beginning

I've been told Biden had a better first 100 days.
You and many others would love to believe these fairytails.
The first 100 days of this Trump administration Is just to get past the last 1,580 days (approximately), of depleting everyones bank accounts in the states, filling the cokehead pockets of Ukraine, and laundering the rest back to our elected officials on the left, along with 1 eyed Dan Crenshaw on the right.

That's funny.

You might be a part of the problem too. Is my text translating to arabic? Or are you mad

Clearly all right-wing conspiracy theories.

The WSJ did a good write up on Trump's focus on the gulf and the strategy to align the gulf as allies and connected to our markets, vice China. Trump clearly had a better relationship with the gulf than Biden did. Now that the Houthi nonsense has been squashed, it's time to align our friends in the gulf.

trumps-high-flying-gulf-strategy-middle-east-economic-ties-55b2d703

The AI summary for those who do not subscribe-
Former President Trump is leveraging deepening ties with Gulf nations to reshape Middle East dynamics in favor of U.S. interests and away from Chinese influence. His recent tour included major economic and arms deals—like a $600B Saudi investment pledge and a $142B arms agreement—as well as diplomatic overtures, including engaging with Syria’s new leadership. The strategy emphasizes economic leverage, security cooperation, and pressure on Iran.

By the charts you showed, one could arrive at the conclusion that the Dem base is nonwhite and no education beyond high school. Would that be accurate? And since people making over $100k were virtually split 51-46, not sure how or why you just completely remove them from the equation. Those votes count, too, even if it goes against your narrative.

People in IT make great money (app dev, infrastructure, security) and most of those jobs don't require a degree (they're bigger on certs). Does that mean they're less educated and make less money? Nope.

People in skilled trades making more than their counterparts with useless college degrees isn't "feels and vibes", bruh. It's reality, one that you may not see or hear about in Toronto but holds true in many parts of the US.

55% of Harris voters in 2024 had a college degree.

And since people making over $100k were virtually split 51-46,
This is not a "virtual split". If Harris or Trump had won the popular vote by this same margin it would have been a difference of 7 million votes(over 3x what the populare split actually was). That would have been the largest vote margin(% wise) since 2008 and the 3rd largest since 1992. No one was calling 2008 a "virtual split" nor were they calling 1992 that.

People in skilled trades making more than their counterparts with useless college degrees isn't "feels and vibes", bruh. It's reality,
It actually isn't.

Even your asinine example from earlier (2nd grade teacher with a masters) is anecdotally wrong...as well as statistically incorrect. There are 2nd grade teachers in certain school districts making $90k+ a year if they are in for more than a decade and have a masters. The average electrician takes home in the 60s.(already provided a source for this). It's interesting that you say "it's reality" but provide zero sourcing for it.

lmao you really are dumb as fuck eh? That was almost two years ago. Lending rates have dropped consistently since 2023. Market has stabilized. My salary has gone up quite a bit since then, and I am looking to buy a place in the city by the fall. Do you need a lesson in how interest rates work?

Living proof that education does not equal intelligence. Please go on.

Sorry busy closing on a boat slip and a second office property this week with some distractions related to the contract to buy a second beach house. Plus, I was laughing so hard at you it was hard to see straight while I did those posts. Maybe I could use a primer on basic bitch finance as I am a couple decades removed from such simple things.

Yes! Those people make up a good chunk of the base of the support for the Dems. That's not a bad thing, like you pointed out before, increasing latino support the Republican's should be a worrying sign for the Dems. They need to actually help their base of support rather than just being the party of the champagne socialists.

Those votes do count, which is why I mentioned and you didn't seem to acknowledge but that every popular vote since 2000 has been decided by <5% with the exception of Barry in 08. A 5% swing is very big in politics.

Ok? Those trades people would get picked up in the next cohort? Unions also typically vote Dem too.

If you're acknowledging that nonwhite folks with no advanced education being the Dem base is a good thing while at the same time pointing out that poor, uneducated whites being the Trump base (and not in a positive light) is puzzling, even for you.

Thank you for posting the chart above. It reiterates my point that millions of social workers, teachers, journalists, art museum employees and bartenders/baristas with useless college degrees would love to be in the middle of that salary chart, some even on the low end.

Education doesn't equate to intelligence and it doesn't guarantee financial success, especially in the US. And just for good measure, the IT people are laughing hysterically at your premise. Their median salary in the US is about $105k and their unemployment rate is less than 1%. Most times no degree required.

Who cares? We all know politicians have been making millions on bribes forever. Only crazy peons think it’s a political ace in the hole for one side.

Most politicians are gross human beings

Because those dumb fucks think that Trump's policies are actually going to help them. They are voting against their own self interest. That is why it is funny to see them finally get something for their vote. The party of "pull your bootstraps up" and "welfare queens!" doesn't exactly sound like the group that should garner support from poor or uneducated people.

The reason for posting that chart is to show you how stupid it is to assert that plenty of trades people earn over 100k. Like everything, you're just riffing off vibez and feelz.

You're inability to understand at even a fundamental level of what I'm saying is incredible. I never made guarantees, I said it's "the best proxy we have" because when compared to your random anecdotes it's a whole hell of a lot better.

I feel like I'm training a fucking dog. Look at the stats, if you have more education you earn more. Do you comprehend what this chart is showing? Usually at this point, if there is a crack in my argument you'd have someone running to back you up. But, everyone can see how stupid your argument is.
