All along I thought that the tariff policy issue was real and was about fairness of tariff structures. While there was some level of concern, I could get behind parts of the policy issue. Now that it's clear it has nothing to do with tariff structures, it's all about the thought that we should not have negative trade balances with any country, I'm pissed off.

The US SHOULD have a trade deficit with most countries. The US is the richest economy in the world, it should be buying from other countries more than they buy from the US. The whole point of being the "greatest country" in the world is that other countries do the grunt work.

They are all absolute morons.

This also hasn't even bottomed out yet. Dominoes haven't even started to fall. The EU has yet to respond. Ditto with China. This collapse is just day one reaction to what happened yesterday. There are more days like this coming once they actually hit in the coming days and weeks.

Could it be that the guy who was dumb enough to bankrupt half a dozen businesses and commit felony tax fraud (34x over!) MIGHT not be economically competent?
