Following up on my original post, he's visiting ND this weekend.
Appeared in 4 games as a freshman so he has 2 years of eligibility left.
Holy shit dude if you this insufferable off of ND message boards I feel your reflection having to stare back at you on a daily basis. It kinda is.
I was wondering if he’d enter the draft.Grayson Mccall might have jump to the top of my wish list.
6'3, hes an accurate passer hardly any interceptions, he is a dual threat and throws a nice deep ball.

He’s talented enough to be successful outside of that Offense.Coastal Carolina runs a version of the triple option. It has some RPO elements, but it's quite gimmicky. I really don't think McCall fits what Rees wants to run. And he's been in it for years.
I also don't like the competition level. CC doesn't play many great teams at all. McCall has only a few P5 teams in his career - I think Kansas twice before they were any good.
I would rather go for a guy that will fit into Rees' offense, and has both quality and quantity starts against P5 teams.

If they don’t get Herron, they’re in trouble.
He was the starting WDE at Stanford. And he’s a Grad transfer. Who do you think they should get? Nobody and just hope Bothello, who hasn’t been a consistent player his entire career, will be their Vyper?Still waiting on why you think Herron fits the Vyper role..

He was a pass rushing DE, not a SDE. Vyper isn’t a real position, it’s just ND’s code for WDE.Again, I'm asking you how he fits the position here at ND. A base-end and a VYPER are not the same thing. ND doesn't use their VYPERs as only, and strictly, base defensive ends.
Why? Bc im going to be blunt about the good & bad. You can check my posts, I’ve been upfront about the good things too. I can’t stand the doom & gloomers, but there’s more than a few things wrong with the program.I ignored the dbag. He's on a diff level of Dbagery

Fuck the fit, they need a proven pass rusher. It’s the same with McCall at QB. Work with the talent you bring in.ND had Foskey play 20 yards deep into coverage at times this past season. VYPER is a combination of weakside defensive end and an off-ball, drop linebacker. Yes, it's primary use is pass-rushing, but it's not the only element to the position.
Herron doesn't fit what ND looks for, as a complete fit, at the VYPER position.

Don’t care. There’s a lot of difft variables going into those numbers. I don’t think Ademilola is coming back. Bothello has shown flashes but not consistent. They can’t run those 2 out there, just like they can’t run out Marist & Kizer. You're not going to like this....
Herron and Justin Ademilola have nearly identical sack stats. In fact, Ademilola has better career stats.
Their snap counts are pretty much the same over the course of the last two seasons, too. Herron had 900, and Ademilola had 884.
Don't be surprised if ND rolls out a combination of Ademilola & Botelho next season at VYPER. With some reps given to the younger guys, Burnham & Gobiara.

You guys want ND to beat the elite programs but then don’t have the stomach to trim the fat off the roster. You can’t have it both ways. Either continue to run out the shitty mediocre Lea & Kelly recruits or start playing the younger guys.
Not Ademilola & Bothello, Marist & Kizer. I’m not crazy about Bertrand but he’s managed to “Joe Schmidt” himself into a starting role by being the QB of the Defense. Snead & Kollie have to start next yr or things will get really nasty.Mate, no coach in CFB is going to cut players like Ademilola & Botelho and label them as "excess fat".

They’d force them out by benching them. Kiser & Marist can stay if they don’t mind riding the bench, but I somehow doubt they’re ok with that.Yeah, again, no team would cut a Kiser or Marist, or a JD for that matter. They may not be a starter at every school, though, but that's understandable and perfectly realistic.
I will agree with you however. The younger players, like Sneed, Kollie & Tuihalamka will need more action next season.

They haven’t gotten better in 4 years. They’re flat out not good enough and all that will happen, is you’ll run off Kollie & Snead. That's one way to do it. If that's the case, then you won't see any departure until next season. So hold your horses, and put faith that players can get better - especially in a newer defensive scheme.
