Ticket Question.

This will be my first time ever going to a game. I am taking my son. I bought some tickets from the big auction site. They arrived today. Here is my question, they have printed in red faculty/staff use only - not for resale in the upper RH corner, below the seat info. Now I know tickets not meant for resale get sold all the time... Either way I have them and will be using them this Saturday's game. Will I have any problems with gaining entry since I am neither staff or faculty? I really do not want to disappoint my son.

ok, understood the original ticket holder could face action from ND tickets sales office... All fine and good, but will I have an issue? I also did not state the sale price/face value.

You'll be fine. I had some that said that for the Utah game last year. I had no problem at all getting in. Have fun.

You'll be just fine. I have a hook up that I bought from for years that is on staff at ND and all of the tickets say that. They don't even look at the darn thing. Just tear it and say, "Welcome to Notre Dame Stadium...Enjoy the game."

Nothing to worry about. If however they were to look at them (which i highly doubt they will) just say you were given them as a gift by a faculty member.

No problem at all. I just used some a couple weeks ago at the USF game. I do have another question though. When I was there I was walking to the game and ran into a scalper. Just out of curiosity (to see if I overpaid...which I did) I asked him how much. They were pretty good tix and he was offering them for face value. Do you think I'd get that for this game?

No, I buy faculty tickets all the time, the Doctors get them, then sell them to us, I've never had an issue. They scan them all the same.

So Stubhub has been messing with me.....cancelled 2 orders already and still haven't confirmed yet but I'm praying this set comes thru......question if STubhub falls thru, how easy is it to scalp in general? Any risk of making the 2.5 hour trek south and not landing tix on campus? Assuming STubhub falls thru.

It's easy to get tickets on campus. Very easy, don't spend an ungodly amount from stub hub

In reality, faculty are more to blame than anyone for the "sea of red" Nebraska fiasco and plenty of other times the stadium gets overrun by the opposition. As far as I know, only students have to show ID with their ticket.

Ha...yeah be glad you don't play Ohio State (very often)....they tend to turn stadiums red and also start that stupid OHIO (Bobcats) chant.

Yeah I bought tickets from a guy off Craigslist for the ND/UM game in '08 (you know the last time we beat them...) and they had the faculty thing on them. But they worked fine.

There were pleanty of tickets floating around before the USF game. I am going up to the game this week without tickets and am pretty sure I won't have to pay full price after two loses. I didn't bother to see what I could have gotten USF tickets for because I already had mine.
