That's it... I'm going biodiesel or something.

Gas this weekend hit $3.00 a gallon. $40 tanks for a small v6 is just ridiculous. How high is it in your neck of the woods?

$2.85 give or take a couple cents. And I have a 40+ mile commute to work.

That's where it was this morning here, too. I just love how they gouge you over the weekends.

$2.90- $3.00 the further east you go towards Chicago.

The prices did get a bit cheaper heading to South Bend Saturday.

We're catching up to other countries in the world right now. But they're gauging us, no doubt. I can see the damaging refinery as being a worthwhile excuse, but Iran? Come on.

You guys should try coming out to San Francisco.

Cheapest in my neighborhood is 3.14/gal.

In downtown SF, I only pass by one gas station and it was 3.45/gal.

Maybe I should consider replacing the flat tires on my bike. It is only 7 miles to work. (that's a short commute in California)

I saw on the news the other day that a gas station in Brooklyn somewhere was charging $4.50 a gallon regular. The owner said his deliveries are costly.

I haven't seen prices like that anywhere, someone should investigate that place.

The reporter said they hung around and some people were actually purchasing gas there.

The sad thing is Exxon made their biggest profit ever. I wis h the president would step in and do something about this..........

One major refinery damaged from Katrina and what Iran COULD or MIGHT do is causing this?

Give me a break.

You're damn right they're price gouging us.

Katrina is the root of all evil....everyone got in on it. Only a month or 2 ago, Wendy's stopped putting tomatos on the sandwiches unless you specifically requested them. Why? Because they claim there's a shortage due to...you guessed it....Katrina. Oddly enough the cost of the sandwich didn't change despite using less ingredients.

EDIT: Not that it shoulda changed more than a few pennies....but that's besides the point.

By Saturday evening it was back down to $2.85-2.90. They always seem to raise it on Fridays to get travel and weekend traffic. Saturday evening or Sunday morning it always seems to go back down.

At least that is at my Speedway I go to frequently. Costco did have it at $2.65, though, but my wife was out of town with the card.

Between Bush's war and Clinton's oil company mergers, we're getting double whammied by our last two presidents with this.

Here in Hollywood for Ugly People, where one can always fail upwards, petrol is running $3.10 for regular in my neighborhood of Rockville, Md. and $3.25 in high-rent high-wealthy people density Potomac, Md.

This too shall pass. At least it's not like gas lines of 1974 and 1978.

Just noticed the post Domer. Yeah, I am getting screwed. Gas prices high. My neighbors are dentally challenged, I have semis driving by my house at 50 MPH at all hours of the night, the video store in town has Dodgeball on the NEW RELEASES rack. WHAT IN THE HELL AM I LIVING HERE FOR??
