i don't think it is a talent thing. i think that most of the problems are basic fundamentals. that is what worries me. for two seasons now, minter has not done anything to improve fundamentals. maybe he is the problem.

Up front (line and backers), some of it is talent. A severe lack of depth hurts too. Fatigue can lead to a break down in fundamentals.

good points. the lack of depth is unnerving this year. but, i think that some of the young kids will turn out well. that's where not beating UNC and Stanford by 30+ hurts development of the freshman and sophs. they could use some mop up time.

In Miami's best years, their defensive line came at teams in waves. You saw non starters ending up in the NFL. A fresh defensive line is crucial. And ND simply hasn't had one in ages.
