I don't think limiting guns is any part of any legit solution. However, I don't want to turn this discussion in to that.

Innocent people, and families, go to watch a movie. Being killed, or injured, by a lunatic shouldn't have to be part of someone's thought process. I feel for the victims, and their families.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Police responded Wednesday to reports of an active shooter at the Carmike Hickory 8 movie theater complex in Antioch, Tennessee, a Nashville police supervisor said Wednesday.

The Metro Nashville Police Department reported shortly after 2 p.m. (3 p.m. ET) that the “suspect (is) dead.”

It was not immediately clear if anyone else was killed or injured in the incident.

The suspect also had a hatchet that he may have used to wound one person, Nashville Police spokesman Don Aaron told reporters.

The suspect was killed during a gunbattle with a SWAT team after earlier exchanging gunfire with one police officer. The suspect also had two backpacks with him, Aaron said.

Antioch is a suburb of Nashville, about 15 miles southeast of the city.

NASHVILLE — A gunman who attacked a movie theater in suburban Antioch is dead, less than an hour after the incident was reported, authorities said Wednesday.

The suspect who opened fire also had a hatchet and may have injured one person with it. Three people were injured with pepper spray, and one of the three had superficial wounds that may have come from the hatchet, said spokesman Brian Haas of the Metropolitan Nashville Fire Department.

No other injuries were reported

**Not taking a stance** as I see the merit on both sides for certain regulations but my intent is to point out that evil people will find a way to hurt others if they want. Luckily, this guy was awful at being evil.
