Dont knnow if this is old news but an article came out today in the Miami Herald that was wrote by an ex booster accusing the University of Miami of major infractions with over 100 players. Interesting players that were included Marve, Hester, Rolle, and Beason. Miami could be in some serious trouble.
The booster, Nevin Shapiro plans on writting a book about the allegations entitled "The Real U"

lol and people wonder why ND hasn't been "relevant" in the past decade. Maybe... just maybe... it is because we have played fair while others have cheated.

And this isn't just an ACC/SEC/USC problem.... you better believe this crap happens in the BIG 12 too. My family is pretty good family friends with a kid who played for Oklahoma who said every Saturday morning before a home game their doorbell would ring and there would be a brown paper bag with $400 in it and each player that lived there took $100 and didn't ask questions. When you think about it, what else are you to do? Leave it there in the bag on your porch? What an ingenious way to give illegal benefits. Completely untraceable. Much better than parties and Land Rovers at least. Does this prove an Oklahoma education is more effective than one from USC?

My wife works with Dr. Steven Lee who was in the same LB core as "the Boz" during OU's 1980s height, he went on to play for the Eagles and Seahawks... my wife is an Embry Riddle/Oklahoma ALum... my borther in law teaches at OU...

things OBVIOUSLY happened at OU, only Bama and SC have darker pasts among the "elite historical programs"... but they have been caught for that and have paid the price...

as far as currently... the Bomar thing was handled nobly by OU as far as I have heard from my many inside sources and still got hammered for it... I commend OU for being the only other major program to use a humble conservative count in their title count AND for at least TRYING to keep things in line, because (again according to my family and friends and the national media) it is VERY hard to keep Texas and or OU boosters in line as IrishLax more than alluded to... and I honestly believe most signs point to the fact OU is and has been trying... which is more than you can say for just about anyone among the "historical" schools other than us and maybe UM pre dick-rod


anyway, with that aside I am all for the NCAA dropping the hammer on ANY school that does know of and allows this kind of crap... OU, ND or anyone else...

what would be sad is Randy Shannon seemed to be turning a corner from this stuff at Miami... yet if this is true you MUST hammer the current school or you open the door to schools getting away with murder once a certain ammount of time passes... time will tell.
