Look, we all know that we are TERRIBLE this year, its been said many times before...I hate losing just as much as the next ND fanatic but when I wake up Sunday morning... I realize that ND has a very bright future. Let me go through some points.

1) This is the youngest ND team in HISTORY. It seems like a lot of fans had a bit too much optimism before the season including myself. But you and I both know that in the back of our minds, we knew that this was going to be a rebuilding year. I'm glad CW has played these kids. They are all learning on the go and we all must realized that major CFB is a lot different from HS...ALOT. Playing our young studs will pay off immensly in years to come.

2) CW is a recruiting machine. You gotta hand it to the guy. We are 1-7 and we get spanked by 38 yet he manages to pull in one of the top wideouts in the country. Simply amazing. He convinces Dayne Crist who could have gone ANYWHERE, to come to ND and compete with the top recruit in the nation. I'd be wrong not to mention Corwin Brown who has done so much for this program in such a short period of time. He has pulled in the kind of defensive studs that we haven't even sniffed since the early 90's. Guys like Steve Filer (a stud LB) Ethan Johnson (definite starter in 08) and an absolute beast in Omar Hunter (PLEASE STAY!). Not to mention many other blue-chip recruits we have gotten who are all intricle parts of our future and the #1 class in the NATION!

3) Don't even compare Weis to TY. Like Weis said, enjoy it while you can. True college football fans know that ND is getting great talent...I mean GREAT talent. Talent in which Ty wish he would have gotten. Lemme get this straight, Ty did get some talented players like BQ, JS, Tommy Z but he didn't have to do much selling, those guys LOVED ND. CW and co. are going out of their way and goin after the best talent in the country. Many of which would have ended up at UF or USC when Ty was here. In all of my years following recruiting, I have not seen a more dedicated staff to recruiting as this one. These guys knows what it takes to win, it takes great talent, no matter how good your coaching abilities are, you have to have solid talent to have a chance against our schedule year in and year out.

Sorry about my rant but I haven't posted in a long time and wanted to get that out. I love ND. Yeah of coarse its a lot more easy to love them when they're winning. I love this team when they're losing too cuz I know they are working their a**es off. We need to back this team and our coach and realize that every season can't be an undefeated one. If we really do love ND then we should be encouraging them, not ripping them.
