Nothing ever tops '99.

Edit....ok, 2014 was nuts with the Big East/NCAA Tourneys sweep, but '99 was the culmination of a decade of being the best team in the big east...it was like a three "team generations" build, the culmination of what Calhoun built at a regional sports school, taken over the top by a bowling ball with irrational confidence.
Wasn't it 2011 the sweep year where they needed to win the Big East to get in or something?

yeah it was '11. I got watching UConn winning titles during deployments mixed up. They won 13 in a row between the two tourneys. Undefeated in 3 if you want to include Maui

Think I was confused in my earlier post, and was only looking at an article about LSU specifically. It was probably the image below.


Anyhoo, you can see baseball is a winner at LSU, and women’s basketball is a giant loser:
