What was the story with him leaving???
someone stated in another post that CW wanted to move him to DT because of the weakness at that position and thats what prompted the transfer. I am not sure if that is true or not

Talley was quoted as saying about his switch to tackle......"they wanted to do what benefits them, not me". Unreal

South Bend Tribune said:Defensive end Ronald Talley, whose Notre Dame football career ended abruptly on Oct. 12, has transferred to the University of Delaware.
Because the Fighting Blue Hens play in NCAA Division I-AA, the 6-foot-4, 292-pound junior won't have to sit out a year, as transfers do between Division I-A schools.
Talley chose Delaware over Tennessee State and Jackson State.
"It wasn't really a tough decision," the Detroit native told The Tribune. "It was more of a critical decision. They seem to have a lot of things together and a lot of positive opportunities for me. I really wanted to go the I-AA route, because I don't like sitting down. You don't get any better by sitting down."
Talley played in Notre Dame's first six games this season, starting four, before leaving the team. He had 11 tackles -- seven of them coming against Michigan -- after recording 23 as a part-time starter in 2005. Neither Talley, nor Weis would initially speak specifically about the reason for the split. But Talley did shed some light on the subject Tuesday.
"It seemed like the coaching staff would tell me one thing and then another," he said. "The situation they wanted to put me in wasn't in my best interests. It was only in their best interests. In the end, I really couldn't trust them. It was enough for me not to want to be there anymore."

Update on Talley. Not surprisingly he's emerging as one of UofD's best defensive linemen. Sounds like he's become quite a leader, too. He's a good guy. I'm sorry that things didn't work out differently for him at Notre Dame.

It doesn't matter where you play college ball if your good, the NFL will find you everyone should know that, and by the way Duke had a tight end transfer and he went to Deleware for one year and now he's in the top 3 tight ends going to be taken in this years draft.
Got his first career sack yesterday for the Arizona Cardinals.
