Not sure if anyone mentioned Oberon yet. It is by far my favorite summer brewski. If you can find it in your area. I highly suggest buying the entire shelf worth.

I was going to say Oberon. Great beer if you're not out in the heat. I don't like it getting lukewarm, it's one of the worst lukewarm beers besides Guinness (which I despise anyway). We buy the Oberon kegs here. The kegs look baller.

Summer Shandy is the shizzle. I like Guinness and Chambord and the Poet beer. Its a local beer brewed in Holland Michigan.

New Holland Brewing Company. That place is the shiz. Holland is one of the best places to visit in the Midwest (in my humble, but correct, opinion). Always something going on, and of course they have great microbrews.

I'm surprised no one said Heineken Light in the summer! If you have to be in the heat, nothing beats it. I'm a sucker for imports from the euro-regions though (Spaten, Koestritzer, Heineken, etc).

When I was in Wisconsin last week I got to try

New Glarus Brewing Spotted Cow (tastes like the midwest, slight corn, malt, and apricots.)

New Glarus Brewing Moon Man No Coast Pale Ale. A very nice beer and well balanced with slight hops, malt and citrus.

Spotted Cow is unreal. Where were you in Wisconsin?

Visiting my wife's family in Milton (southeast corner by Janesville). I wish the New Glarus beers were available here.

Also got to try a bottle of Wisconsin wine (Von Stiehl), very sweet.

Spotted Cow could be my favorite beer on the planet.

Meh. I like New Glarus, but give me more hops than Spotted Cow.

On a recent trip to Colorado I renewed my love affair with Pliny the Elder from Russian River (a Cali brewery, but carried only on the West Coast and, oddly, Philadelphia).

Silly name, excellent beer. It's like there's a hoppy party in my mouth.

Come Hell or High Watermelon by 21st Amendment Brewery

I was skeptical of watermelon at first, but it's a true watermelon addition instead of just watermelon flavoring. As a result, the sweet water taste of watermelon is subtle and compliments the wheat beer base perfectly. I'm not sure how far this brewery ships, but if you see it, jump all over it.
