They haven’t had an all American since 2011. It has been a mediocre decade for themHow about those jerkoffs worry about finishing above .500!! 🤣🤣🤣
They're currently running a streak of 7 consecutive losing seasons and have had 8 of them in the past 10 years. They haven’t had an all American since 2011. It has been a mediocre decade for them
Yet they have won national championships more recently than we have. They're currently running a streak of 7 consecutive losing seasons and have had 8 of them in the past 10 years.
That's not mediocrity, that's ineptitude.
So has Auburn, but they've been pretty mediocre since then.Yet they have won national championships more recently than we have.
You can have your ten win seasons, i’ll take a natty even if it means we sucked for a decade afterwards. Hopefully MF makes that happen without the suck afterwards though. So has Auburn, but they've been pretty mediocre since then.
So has Florida, but they've been pretty mediocre since then.
So has Tennessee, but they've been pretty mediocre since then.
So has Colorado, but...you get the idea.
Winning a title is nice, but sustained success is also pretty important. The state of those programs isn't anywhere near a National Title contender.
Hey, Colorado has won a title recently...most players run off without graduating. Heading toward triple digits. So has Auburn, but they've been pretty mediocre since then.

I'm saying both matter. Auburn won a national title and immediately went into the sh*tter. You can have your ten win seasons, i’ll take a natty even if it means we sucked for a decade afterwards. Hopefully MF makes that happen without the suck afterwards though.
Auburn played in another title game like 3 years laterI'm saying both matter. Auburn won a national title and immediately went into the sh*tter.
It was nice to put their first title trophy in 53 years, but if they failed to build on it, that kind of mitigates the impact.
I'd rather have a program that is on a positive trajectory and in position to win titles moving forward. Winning 1 title in 66 years is cool, but what followed diminishes it.
And in the decade since then they have one 10 win season. Typical record more like 7-6. Losing record three straight years, and on their third coach in four seasons.Auburn played in another title game like 3 years later

Almost there! We've got the “meh” part locked down!![]()

Auburn is pretty fascinating. Only 5 ten win seasons in the past twenty years but 2 national championships. The rest of their seasons have been pretty “meh.” I’d still take it if it were nd
The paid for the right player. A one man team who carried the team on his shoulders. Absolutely characterless as a team but people dont remember characterless, just championships, right?![]()

Not exactly. I am simply saying I would rather have a national Championship or two in the past almost 40 years than a bunch of 10-11 win seasons. And in the decade since then they have one 10 win season. Typical record more like 7-6. Losing record three straight years, and on their third coach in four seasons.
Are some of you seriously arguing that you'd rather be what Auburn is than what Notre Dame is just because they bought a quarterback and won a natty when current-day college football players were in kindergarten?
