Andrew Luck seems to have way too much control and NBC has the cameras on him an alarming amount of times.

The coaching hire he made certainly feels like a buddy hire. Why is a school GM making the hire anyways?

100% agree (and this is coming from a guy who really likes Andrew Luck) that he deserves a TON of criticism for his head coaching hire.

They could have pursued far more qualified candidates than a guy who's never been more than a co-OC/positional coach. That Stanford team is really, really poorly coached and the only reason Pritchard got the job is because he's buddies with/served as the backup to AL.

My favorite part of QB play this week that shows how special CJ is between the ears.

The first drive Stanford out the linebacker as a robber and perfectly scouted CJ's tendency to throw it across the middle with the DB bailing out on the slot receiver lined up left. He doesn't see the middle linebacker coming across from the other direction and it nearly gets picked off.

The very next drive they run the same offensive and defensive concept but CJ has adapted and knows that it's coming. He pump fakes and takes off running to the right for a big gain.

His football IQ and adaptability is unreal. Can't fool him twice!

Back from the game:

-Definitely the Sunday golf crowd on hand for an opponent everyone knew we would handle. Some Karen behind was us yapping at the guy next to me to sit down on stanford's 1st series. I immediately stood up on principal.

-Damn this defense is even more impressive live, even without some of our dudes. Traore looked like a raptor out hunting.

-Told my son (first game) right before Walton's 97 yarder to watch him and scored some major Dad points. I've randomly witnessed the longest three runs in stadium history which is absolutely wild considering i make a game every other year or so.

-In addition to the backs running well, seemed like the oline is really coming together. They're ready for a better test against the mormons.

-Not sure how I ever missed this on other trips, but I learned gas and grocery stores in the state of Indiana don't sell cold beer.... i thought I was in the south or Utah there for a minute... unserious state about beer drinking.

Happy to report you can get up to 5% in Utah.

Not much to say. I enjoy these weekly ass kickings and will continue to do so for as long as they continue. Play who is in front of you, step on their nuts and knock their dicks in the dirt. This is sure as shit better than letting these teams hang around as they tended to do with the prior regime, which we are so far removed from now it isn't even funny.

Pritchard and Luck seem like good dudes, but in this era, they're really up against it at Stanford. Playing in the ACC won't help matters either, at least competitively.

We didn’t even have Sunday alcohol sales until the last 10 years and even then you can only do it for a certain number of hours in the afternoon. We are a very backwards state on such things.
