Feel bad for the Prez, Kerry's comments allowed Obama to get punked.

Think about it. Obama really has two options here now that Kerry opened his mouth in what I think was an off the cuff comment. First, he can still strike Syria, which really goes against public opinion and would really irk his base. The other option is the latest diplomatic offer, which also includes a US promise to never strike Syria if Syria gives up the chemical weapons they said they never had. But without military action, Assad is in much better position to win the war. Neither scenario is good.
