Signing Day Commits

The more I think about it the less I think guys that wait until signing day are ND guys. I am not saying these issues are the case with all guys that commit on signing day but these issues are the reasons I think these guys are usually not ND type guys.

1) Waiting till signing day for the hype...wanting to annouce on TV and have all the attention on them.

2) Not knowing until the last minute where they want to go to college...we want guys who know they want to be Irish!

3) Believing they are good enough that they will announce when they are ready!

The premadona thing really drives me nuts and most of the time these are not ND type kids. Just a thought and again this does not apply to all these recruits just a majority that wait until signing day!

I disagree majority of the kids left that we are after were commited to other schools.

I like high character kids who commit quietly...those are ND types in my opinion! I am still not a JC fan because of the way he commited...just my opinion!

Some kids like the attention and all of the hype around signing day. Most of these guys are all about ME, not about the program. Many feel (IMO)they are doing the great service to the school of gracing them with their presence until they go pro.

These guys usually don't do as well at a team oriented institute like ND.

Dont forget this is the first true life changing choice these kids, and thats what they really are, are going to make. I hope they take the time to think through this decision. ND is not for every student athlete. You gots to get in where you fit in and if they need the time to figure it out then I don't see a problem with them taking time. Some kids just know instantly that thats where they want to go. Some dont. Not a big worry in my mind.

JC's announcement was pretty crazy, but if the kid ends up there one day (college football hall of fame that is), then it will be forgiven entirely!

He has came out and said it was handled wrong (announcement day) so he saved a lot of face with me by doing that...I will support JC because he is at ND...he is just not one of my favorite players...I am sure a couple of NC's will change my opinion ;-)

did any of you heard wht happened at the stanford game? apparently like JC was mocking some stanford players by doing the airplane in their faces and laughing in a very mean way at them
