The Big 10 is moving to a 9 game conference schedule aren't they? I wouldn't be surprised to see MSU follow suit.

As stated in the scheduling thread, I'm a big fan of doing an every-other-year model with Purdue and Michigan State, at least until Notre Dame fully joins the ACC.

Consider:

2015: vs Purdue
2016: at Michigan State
2017: at Purdue
2018: vs Michigan State

Then repeat. Notre Dame gets to keep both of the rivalries by simply condensing them into one week per season.

We were going to be losing the games against all the Big Ten teams. They've been looking hard at a 9 game conference schedule (don't know if it's a done deal yet, but it should be) for years. Purdue's AD said it was going to be hard to impossible to keep the game. Michigan's AD said they were going to have to cancel the game prior to ND giving notice. MSU already had a scheduled break.

Hoke's a punk. I hope we end the series on a high note and waste the Wolverines next year. Dude spent part of fall camp preparing for us, then calls us chicken for dropping them due to scheduling conflicts? Get real, they're the ones that dropped the series with us twice in the past after we spanked them back in the day, then they don't schedule us again until the 60s because they decided they wanted to make some money. It would have been fine if the baseless chicken comment was the end of it, but they pull a low class move playing the Chicken Dance at the end of the game. Hope the players remember that next year, would love to get the last laugh.
