I wouldn't be surprised if he it just shaken up, he does seem to be a little bit of a drama queen. Which isn't always bad, shows he has emotion and cares.

He earned my respect this week.

During Parris' senior year in high school, he dislocated his hip on a very sick play. It was a very scary moment. I hated to see him in pain after that catch on Saturday. I really hope he is ok-- the kid has dealt with enough injury in his career.

I remember that play as well. Are Walker, Goodman, and Evans really gonna step up to the plate and succeed this talented group of kids we have this year and next?

I believe they will. They are young, and not many players are gonna be Floyd or Tate that young.

Give them time!

I think you should bite your tongue about Robby being a drama queen. He might not be the fastest or flashiest receiver we have, but he has never complained and has always done what was asked of him to help this team win. He was one of Jimmy's favorite targets his frosh year and then lost out to Tate and Floyd. He never said one thing, and when Floyd went down he stepped up and has made the plays when they were needed.

Robby Parris is the type of player any coach would be proud to have on his team, and I only hope he gets well soon enough to get back out there and enjoy the rest of his senior year as a player.

Ummm, not to be a dick, but not even close. And this is coming from a guy who completely backed him up on this board when others were trashing him for no reason just a couple games ago.

SHark was so good after the catch, it wasn't even funny. He had speed to burn. But Parris is sloooooooooowwwwww. Just because he's white, doesn't mean they are comparable...

case in point, the fake field goal....he had a wide open gallop to the endzone and the defense still caught up with him.

Parris's brother works for Rivals and he said that the results are negative. No damage. questionable for BC but he is going to be fine

If true, that's great news ... for both the Irish as a team and Robbie himself!

I sure hope he plays. If he doesn't then another WR can follow his lead from the USC game and step it up.

Irish WR Depth On The Decrease

Irish WR Depth On The Decrease

Eric Hansen SBT 10/20/09

South Bend Tribune: Notre Dame football: Irish WR depth on the decrease

Robby Parris has seen the replay, over and over and over.

And now he knows why everyone keeps asking him, over and over and over, if he suffered a concussion in the final minute of Notre Dame's frenetic 34-27 loss to USC, Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium.

“I thought I was hit by only one guy,” the Irish senior wide receiver said. “I didn't see the second guy drill me in the head. Nothing was wrong with my head. My leg was mangled up.”

Mangled up to the point the Notre Dame team doctors had X-rays taken of Parris' right hip, knee and ankle - all of which were negative - and an MRI on the knee that revealed nothing more than a bruise.

But since Parris didn't practice Tuesday and definitely won't Wednesday either, his availability for Saturday's matchup with Boston College (5-2), Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium, is remote. With sophomore standout Michael Floyd's best-case scenario to return to game action from a broken collarbone still Nov. 7 vs. Navy, Parris' injury taxes ND's depth at the position a little further. ...

On a positive note, since speed isnt his best asset, if he is a little slower come Saturday he should still be able to make a difference.

Weis said today he was full go in practice and should be out on the first play vs. BC

How many WR injuries before we see Gallup? lol.

Floyd's out.
Kamara has played banged up since the preseason.
Parris recovering/recovered - will see Saturday
Walker has been absent. Don't recall hearing of an injury though (of course Charlie doesn't offer much regarding injuries).
Goody's now a Wildcat.

"Gallup, warm up with Crist!"

Don't be surprised to see Gallup get on the field (other than special teams) for at least a few plays. His father, Barry Gallup Sr., is the Associate A.D. for Football Operations, at B.C., and I think I remember a story about him having good relations with Weis, going back to when Weis was the coach at Franklin High School in Jersey, and Gallup, Sr. was a recruiter for B.C.
