RiversidePD officer killed/ex-LAPD is suspect

sorry to post such an off-topic thread, but this is very close to 'home'. The RiversidePD officer was shot and killed about 1/2mile from where I work at, and about 2 miles from my house. the whole area is still blocked off and there is huge police presence in Riverside. Principals requested district personnel to stand out in front of schools this morning as kids were arriving to 'show a strong front'.

The shooter put out a manifesto which to me paints him as an articulate, intelligent sociopath.

And the LAPD shot 2 innocent people because they were driving a car similar to the one this guy drove! Awesome police force out there in LA.

The head of the Criminal Justice Department at my work looks just like this guy and he told me that it is suspected this guy may have killed as many as seven people... If he is ex-Navy Seal... it may be a while before they find him.

NOT a SEAL. Reserve officer in a special warfare command. So if you had an 18 year old E-1 deck seaman on one end of the spectrum, and SEALs on the other, he's in between.

When he claimed to bring "asymmetric warfare" to officers and their families is where I said, "oh, fvck".

I laughed when the Police chief was answering questions about this guy and he said something like, "He is well trained, we should know we trained him". This from the people that brought you the OJ fiasco, Rodney King & other such awesomeness.

My wife was up at our cabin in Big Bear today meeting with a contractor. I was beside myself all day at work looking at updates on the news and calling her every 20 minutes. She left around 2:30 to head home. Luckily our place is out in the east end of the valley a couple miles from where the search was taking place.

Just because they are scared doesn't mean they can shoot random people 30 times because they might drive a similar truck.

He walked up to an engaged couple in their 20's and executed them in their car. Why? Because the woman was the daughter of a retired cop who handled his appeal case. You telling me that girl and her fiancee wronged him? He also shot two cops who were stopped at a traffic light minding their own business. He killed one of them. He wasn't LAPD. Riverside is not in LA county. He wasn't on a hit list. Stop making this guy out to be some sort of vigilante hero. He is a psychopath and has murdered three innocent victims. You do not live down here. You do not have friends that are police officers down here. Before you make stupid comments you should first know what you are talking about.
