Greatest college football announcer ever. I grew up listening to him almost every autumn Saturday afternoon. Some of my greatest football memories were narrated by him. A true legend.

He was so good, he made me a Michigan fan when I was young. They were my back up team until they started playing again. He always had the Michigan/OSU game back in my day it was like a Midwest holiday.

He called the best two non-ND games I ever watched. the 2003 Fiesta Bowl with The U and OSU. (Sadly, someone won) and the 2006 Rose Bowl where Vince and UT beat SC.

He was a classic. Despite being synonymous w/ CFB, he did his share of Monday Night Baseball and NFL games, too.

The only time I dreaded hearing him is when he called ND games w/ Frank Broyles. While I always sensed a bias vs ND (typical fan, right?), it revealed itself when he teamed w/ Broyles.

RIP

Yeah, when I think KJ I typically think:

1.) Rose Bowl
2.) A dude that hated Notre Dame
