It's being reported that Konrad Reuland is transfering. Wow what a blow!
its not true, but you can believe what you want.
can we change this thread to "reuland not transferring".
Transfers are a normal process, it has more to do with personal reasons than team reasons.
Rumblings that sophomore tight end Konrad Reuland is leaving the program should be cleared up today. When reached via cell phone Sunday night, Reuland deferred to speaking [sic] until today, saying “I’ve still got a lot to think about.”
Another poster that I trust very much just posted that he recieved an email today from an on campus source that Reuland is indeed transferring.
I beleive Rueland is a man of integrity and will honor his comittment. He should immediately dispel any rumor to the contrary. What's to think about?????
Weis just confirmed it. Reuland is leaving the team.
Rumor is he will move to a Div2 or Div3 team and then shoot for the Pac-10.
Best of luck to Konrad.
As a recruit I would see that all these guys have a common denomenator. All three are being beat out by freshmen. To me thats says Charlie plays the best player and not the upperclassmen. Best of luck to Reuland I wish him well.Fortunately, the transfers (Frazier, Jones & Reuland) are clearly coming from positions of depth. But, you never like to see these things happen in a year when the performance is down.
The perception could be that they are leaving because the team stinks, not because they aren't seeing the playing field (or are potentially homesick).
I actually like the deal with Jones...his departure was clearly as a result of playing time. I wonder what Reuland's story will be.

Hate to be a pessimist, but this season is driving me to think the worst. Might the transfers combined with our poor start, also show that we are not bringing in the talent we thought we were? Guys like Reuland, Jones and Frazier were supposed to be blue-chip recruits. If they can't find the field on this team, does this mean our coaches are mis-evaluating these guys?
I know a lot goes into each individual decision to transfer, but something to think about...
