Just watched it on Netflix last night. Awesome flick. Highly recommended.

Description:
Sebastian Junger, author of The Perfect Storm, teamed with photographer Tim Hetherington to spend a year embedded with the Second Platoon in Afghanistan, documenting the hard work, fear and brotherhood that come with repelling a deadly enemy. Hunkered down with the soldiers in one of the region's most strategic valleys, the filmmakers uncover the dark humor, sleepless surreality and constant anxiety of war in this Best Documentary winner at Sundance.

I saw this at the Arts Theatre in Carmel. Depressing as hell.

Depressing yes. But a solid film nonetheless. If anyone has streaming Netflix, I suggest spending an hour and a half watching this movie. Top notch stuff.

It won at Sundance this year.

It's practically all 5 star reviews. Loved it.

Wabash, I think you were drunk when you posted that last comment.

I think of it as just a job that I loved and I know my cousin does as well. I will pass onto him your thanks and respect. His father (my uncle) is a three star general and a graduate of west point and they were on the field at yankee stadium. He called me from the field as they played the fight song and we sang along. We are gonna go to an Irish game next year so if you guys wanna say thanks to him we will be there next year
