I have this on a vBulletin forum I administer & it works great....
Mobile Phone / iPhone / PDA Detection and Style Assignment - vBulletin.org Forum
It detects when a user is on a mobile device (Cell, PDA etc) & renders a preset style. This can be set to a simple style for mobile users which there are several of on vbulletin.org.

Reason I ask is my desktop is downstairs & I watch the game upstairs. I like to try to keep up with the "Game Day" thread when I'm home watching the game by myself cause it's nice to converse with other fans as the game happens. However the current style loads incredibly slow on Blackberry making it almost impossible for me to keep up with the thread. A simple style for phones would make this tons easier.
