This thread on NDNation got me thinking. How would you rank Willingham’s losses? Don’t just base it on points. Base it in pain.* Many ND fans may differ here
depending on where they were at the time, physically and emotionally.* Feel free to share your thoughts.
Here is a list of Ty’s 15 losses:

The blowout shutouts were painful to watch but they weren't as bad as the 5th ranked Irish losing to #1 Army 59-0 in '44 or the #2 ranked Irish losing 48-0 to the #1 ranked Cadets in '45. Wins by Blanchard and Davis over interim ND head coaches McKeever and Devore were expected but those were highly ranked ND teams that got clobbered.

The BYU game takes the prize. Who else wheeled and dealed to get a "tune up" game against a hapless team and then gave a clinic in ineptitude.

Oh jesus dude they pretty much all sucked. The most emotional loss was the BYU game. That was the final straw for me. The players looked and played like they didnt even report for summer camp. Diedrick ran that damn bubble screen like 12 times in that game. I was so sick to my stomach that I couldnt eat breakfast the next morning. Purdue winning in South Bend 41-16 was horrific too. I felt embarrassed for the players on the field. It was so apparent they were not ready to play football that day. The Pitt game in '04 was terrible. We made Tyler Palko look like the next Elway. All of Ty's losses sucked now that I think about it. If we were just outplayed then I maybe could have stomached more of them, but it was too obvious that the players were not being coached and there was minimal game planning. God I am pissed now. 3 years of my life wasted watching Willingham not produce and yet he still gets national attention like he is god. He is 67-60-1 lifetime and 1-4 in bowl games. Enough said.

Watching ND lose to BC was pretty painful. It was inevitably going to happen at some point that season. It just sucked watching from the stands.
