I think many people underrate Sharpley and I would like to help them understand that he really has a legitimate shot at starting and will prolly do a fine job:
Evan Sharpley- If you take a look at his highlight tape from high school I saw a pretty good kid. He moved well, I saw some sick jukes from that quarterback. He threw it well, can throw the deep ball well. He is better than many people think and I don't think he will roll over for JC or DJ, he came to compete. Weis wants a quarterback who he can mold and which quarterback seems the most open. A quarterback who has never lost a game in high school, had a quarterbacks coach, and has been praised since touching a football. But, Jimmy may be really dedicated to learning as much as he can from Weis and is determined to go pro, I am not saying that jimmy is a bad guy but, it would seem pretty hard not to get lost in your own success and stay in there with weis when he is riding you hard at a 2 a day after you have never lost a game. Then I don't know that much about DJ but a running quarterback is always hard to mold into a throwing scheme if he will use it again. Or a kid who has sat out a couple years watching, learning from Weis and Brady. Who has been underated and forgotten even though he has been the backup for 2 years under the best QB in college football. Wei has said that Sharpley understands the system the best and I would rather have someone in the game that knows the program like the back of his hand and is actually pretty good than someone that has all the talent in the world but has a little trouble with some of the material.
Anyways I think people shouldn't be disappointed and surprised when the depth chart is posted because the kid is not such a bad choice.
