Pull for USC to go undefeated!

Which is a high probability.......

Even if ND loses to SC at the end of the year, they'll probably end up in the Sugar Bowl. (Mandel on CNNSI). Ok, true. But, when you take a look at the top 10 and the probable losses that can and will occur between this weekend and the SC game.......if ND is sneaking around the top 5 or even top 4 going into a matchup with a probable #1 USC....opportunity awaits.

I'm glad this game is in November. I want no part of that team right now.

That defense would KILL ND if they played this week. And if they find a running game on offense, look out. I'm more concerned with what that defense would do to Quinn. They could do a Chris Simms job on him.

ND will need to iron out a lot of things before that game. It's a long way off and that is a good thing. This Purdue game might not be as easy of a walk as we thought.

A healthy Scwapp, and an established one-two punch (hopefully) with Walker and Aldridge would seem like a must. I would love to see some more reps for the younger linebackers as well. C'mon down Toryan!

Agreed. They usually get up for ND and last years embarrasment might also be motivation for them. A lot of people are talking about how easy our schedule is until USC. Purdue is undefeated (although not tested), UCLA will not be a push-over and AF gave the Vols a run for their money. Obviously, the rest of the schedule is much easier on paper than the first 4 games. But, in college football, anything can happen.

Bingo AZ.

With the way they've played the last two weeks, nothing is a sure win for ND anymore.

Maybe halftime vs. MSU was the gutcheck that wakes them up. I hope they roll over Purdue and Stanford into the bye week, and by that I mean some complete football. Offense, defense and special teams.

Oh yeah, on the topic.........although it might be good for rankings and the computer generated info to have USC undefeated when we beat them, I'll find it really, really difficult to root for USC at any point during any season.

ND needs to take care of their own business before USC. Whatever they do is really of no consequence. Should ND run the table to SC and manage to beat them, the chips will fall well enough for them to be in the BCS mix.

Right now, they are light years from being a National title contender. I can think of ten teams that would murder them right now.

I'm sorry, but I could never root for USC to go undefeated. I would rather have SC be 0-11 when we play them. Living in CA, that is just one bandwagon I can't stand. Have never really hated USC per se, but the bandwagon, and the recruting violations are just too much for me.

You want all of your opponents to win when they aren't playing the Irish. That only helps us in the SOS arena.

Yes, and I hope Navy and Air Force are undefeated when we play them, but I just can't stand USC. I also wouldn't mind if Michigan went 0-12 every year either.

Sorry, I will never cheer for Michigan St. no matter who they play. At least while JLS is coaching.

Let's face it if ND goes 11-1 which means they beat SC at SC. They'll be playing for a NC, you heard it hear first. While one team may go undefeated, i cannot possibly see two teams doing it. And since we lost early, we will be able to jump all those team that lose.

I never said anything about cheering for them. I'm just hoping they win.

I knew that's what you meant bud, i just cannot wish any good fortune on any team that disrespects the game of college football the way that team does. Especially the asshole coach. They are a bunch of thugs, coached by a disgraceful moron.

If there's a team we should root for this weekend, it's got to be GT vs. VT!
