Lord,

We come to you on behalf of our brother TNU and his wife who is battling cancer. We pray Lord that you can fully and completely heal her of the cancer. But even moreso right now we pray for relief from her pain and comfort for her. We pray you give her the strength to continue to battle the disease and we pray for the strength for TNU and his family to continue to support her and advocate for her care. Lord be with the doctors and care team that they are able to give her the best care and treatment possible that her body may be able to continue fighting. We know Lord that you can work miracles and all things are possible with you. Amen.

Day 10 in the hospital for my wife. Myriad of issues and not a whole lot of answers. Heart rate and blood pressure are now an issue. Continued prayers requested.

My brother, I am so, so sorry for what your wife, you and your family are enduring. I pray our Lord is near and the doctors provide their very best.

Nothing I can say will ease your family’s pain, but I’d like to leave you with Thomas Merton’s Prayer — my favorite prayer.

My Lord God,
I have no idea where I am going.
I do not see the road ahead of me.
I cannot know for certain where it will end.
nor do I really know myself,
and the fact that I think I am following your will
does not mean that I am actually doing so.
