Ethan seemed like a very disruptive force all day long. Even when he wasn't making a play, he was beating his blocks. I was really impressed with him today.

Tough choice but I went with D Walls. He stepped up everytime a big play was needed. The interception was clutch. Plus he broke up or at least was in coverage on some critical 3rd or 4th down attempts.

It was nice to see AA stay on his feet a few times. No way he scores that TD last year with his feet getting in the way.

Gary set the tone early and never let up... SO impressed with the play of our corners today... just wish we wouldn't have them play so far off in coverage, but that's scheme not the players...

I went with Gary and thought so DURING the game...

Have to go with Walls....he was on an Island...and when Harrison made the incorrect read and let the WR from Purdue run the post Walls was there...

Also Jackson was a stud.

Gray had 5 tackles in the 1st quarter alone and made great open field tackles

darrin walls got toasted on both deep balls
floyd was the potw, crist just didnt get him the ball
gary gray was potw on defense
teo looked awful
crist looks pretty clueless and not accurate-hope it was first game jitters
bennett jackson and ruffer should get special team game balls
allen is clueless about picking holes,he actually ran away from holes and into piles 4 or 5 times
cierre wood is avg, below avg speed
tj looks like a good poss receiver
zack martin played well
taylor dever not so well
rudolph is overrated, good 7-8 yd poss recvr
didnt see eifert at all
ethan looked good in 2nd half, ian played pretty well also
calabrese is major coll talent
i hope teo was really nervous, he missed about 6 tackles in the first half alone, and his anticipation is marginal
slaughter looked pretty good
h.smith omg, freshman please

if crist gets more accurate, the 3 wr's are pretty good, so should be able to move the ball on most teams.still dont have alot of speed on offense
defense is pretty bad,
smith, fleming, and neal are god awful, please get them out
smith's 4th& 1 play on mavre was depressingly bad

team speed is still bad
need olb's badly
de's almost as badly(lynch and rabasa are great starts-both are really quick off the ball)
need 3 corners badly in this rec cycle
need a wr with dynamic speed
hegarty will start on day one, dever is marginal, going to be a big problem all year

8-4 is realistic, 9-3 if crist improves dramatically

I would agree Teo did not live up to his reg. level today... far too many ankle tackles gone for not... but he had his moments...

Floyd should indeed be on the list... the downfield blocking on the long runs... no I in team baby...

but Gary is my guy this week regardless

and I still feel 8-4 is prob. how the season goes... and would prob. take UM to win next week if I were objective or my life was on the line...

Gary Gray or Darrin Walls.

Gray was great in run support and had tight coverage on several plays, including a nice play on the batted ball that Ian Williams intercepted. He has the edge and I'll give him the trophy.

Walls? The interception was great. Made some great plays in run support, as well. He got beat on two deep balls but did a nice job recovering and reacting to the underthrown passes. He needs to learn to get up and get a hand on the ball.

Ethan Johnson. One of his best games.

Kapron Lewis-Moore. Did not make enough plays to seriously warrant any player of the week honors.

If Michael Floyd either:

A) Does not fumble the slant
or
B) Received a better throw on the two late deep balls from Crist

He would be POTW, IMO.

That's also an overwhelmingly negative post.

Te'o wasn't awful, but he really could have had a much better day.
Crist was not "clueless", he was a green QB trying to be safe with the football.
Allen did a great job finding the hole. He broke off several nice runs. That takes vision.
Wood average? On all but two plays he broke off a huge gain. Did you even watch the game?
Dever held his own against Ryan Kerrigan. I think that warrants applause.
Rudolph overrated? Hahahahaha.

You must be talking to King.. Floyd POTW, really!! Didn't he have the fumble that would put the game away earlier and would of probably saw Jonas and Rees come into the game for clean up.

I'd say walls, but bet on seeing Wood on this list pretty often this year. He was my guy to watch in the preseason, now he's my guy for the year, it's nice to hav a late September birthday so u can figure out who's jersey to ask for, although #5 would be a good two for the price of one.

You can't, didn't you read the earlier post, he's average and slow. I never knew 8.2 yards per carry was average, I hope he stays that average.

That's riight!! Average and slow but who are we talking about. Who's this this Wood guy? All this Wood talking is making me have a stiffy..

Yeah...Cierre wood can't has terrible carrying vision and he can't juke at all...can't find a hole...can't break a tackle.
He's a bum....
hahaha
Cierre was AWESOME
He broke the first big couple of runs and got the offense rolling.

I love our 1-2 punch
A lil Robert Hughes for short yardage would be nice though
