Sad thing is I'm terrified to see who the hell we bring in.

I don't care who they bring in, all I care is winning again. Me & a whole lot of people are tired of losing games where we should be winning, Navy, Uconn, Syracuse, ect........

Have you watched him play RB this year? He get's a hell of a lot more yardage off tckle than Hughes does up the middle. Check your stats.

Shaq evans hassn't played rb... He has no carries on the season... Not to sound like a dick but, WTF are you watching?

What kills me the most is the affect it has on our players, they are Champions and I hate to see them play poorly, when I wathch a ND game it's like I'm watching an epic battle like Braveheart that you know the ending has to go our way.....but it doesn't we all feel like crap but how do our players feel, they didn't step on that hallowed ground expecting anything but a win. Please make sure in all of our criticisms we honor the kids that played. Bad or good they always play their hearts out.

Not sure if you are just hating on CW, or what, murph......but check your stats. Shaquelle Evans has not one single carry, in ND's official stats. So I'm not sure where you have seen Shaq get "a hell of a lot more yardage off tckle than Hughes does up the middle."

I'm with you bro, but ND hasn't exactly lit the world on fire with their coaching selections since LOU left. I will be happier then most to se Charlie go, but on the same token we need a great COLLEGE COACH ( stop the gruden nonsense ), not our 2nd, 3rd or 5th choice. It will take a big man to accept this position.

Yes, but that's the very least of our worries, right now. Jimmy Clausen is not the Notre Dame program.

Of course, I didn't say he was.

It is a simple question.

This is what I find intriguing about people's views on this site. No offense to you or anyone else but, I remember a recruit coming to the College Hall of Fame, in a Limo, flashing H/S championship rings, and saying, as I quote, "...four National Championships.." much like CW came in basically saying no one would out-coach him and many have. I don't know, just feel like crap for this team.... my team.

I don't think money is an issue, if the right guy is willing to except the job.

I was on the fence last week. Saying stuff like "it better be a slam dunk or bring Charlie back". Now, I don't care if they bring in Jim Zorn. Change is needed. You saw it when the emotion of the entrance wore off.

BCS Championships bring in alot of money. The right coach could pay his own way.

ND only gets half of what everyone else gets, so that's not really an accurate statement. But the buzz of a big name guy could certainly increase revenues.

So you think Charlie will? Just saying that economy may suck, but I think the Vatican would back us for the right guy. Jack even said money was no issue.

Great point. Case and point weis gets to a bcs bowl game and gets the contract extenstion

i think he got the contract extension way before the bcs.

On October 29, 2005, barely halfway through the first year of a six-year contract, and with only a 5–2 record, Weis signed a contract extension with Notre Dame. The new 10-year deal, which began with the 2006 season, and which was to be worth a reported $30–40 million, would keep Weis at Notre Dame through 2015.

Very poor performance by the coach and his team. Sorry to say but CW needs to go. He has not a clue how to but a team away. 6 points scored in the 2nd half before OT simply sucks.

I think the talent base is here and the incoming recruiting actually still looks good. I really thought Tenuta was a great hire. I don't know if it is the personnel or the strategy. (or the constant blitzing that tires our d-line).

I know this is a team that needs a leader that motivates and grinds that arse when something goes wrong. Whoever it is, thats what I want.

New week, same script....sort of. Instead of the furious finish it was the fast start. The problem is that this team puts it in neutral for at least three quarters of every game. How can you come down to the last minute or overtime against Top 15 teams (USC and Pitt) and .500 teams (Purdue, Michigan State, UConn)?

I saw those seniors sulking after the game and I can't help but think "What the fuck are you upset about?". I'll preempt anybody who may think that I'm deflecting blame from Charlie Weis--I'm not. But the players have to play the game and when the o-line can't get a two yard push in the redzone against guys that are smaller, weaker and less talented it's their own fault. When Michael Floyd and Armando Allen are packing the ball like a loaf of bread--it's their own fault. Why were they crying? I don't get it. You can't play like you don't give a damn for 36 minutes and then cry about it. Do they think they are entitled to wins?

Look for Gerhart to run for 300 yards and keep running right to the Downtown Atheltic Club.

And I had a discussion some weeks back with somebody (I honestly can't recall who) about the merits of Tenuta's defense. I was begging for the team to stop blitizing and start providing safety help and to stop blitzing because our lb's end up running right past running backs. We saw it again today, and again and again. Tenuta's defense is awful.

Charlie Weis isn't the right coach for this team and I'm not so sure--sans Tate, Clausen and Parris--that the current players are right for this team either.

I was wrong then. Thanks for letting me know.
