1. Tommy Rees called, he said all of you haters can "SUCK IT!"

2. This is a HUGE monkey off of the team's back. They finally slew the dragon that had been Denard Robinson.

3. Our front 7 got pushed around pretty good, tonight. I'm going to venture to say that they are damned good, but probably not as good as we all hoped they were.

4. Theo Riddick! Excellent game!

Defense is going to keep up is every game at the very least. Hopefully the bye week helps straighten out the offense. Weird comparison, but Te'o is our Tebow.

Big play by Sheldon Day!

Our D line killed it....although there were some plays DR was back there for a while.

Motta looked like Harrison Smith of last year out there most of the night. Spond was everywhere. Young DBs grew up quick. Offense sucked, but had enough in the end.

Whether anyone likes it or not, we have a 2 QB system this year. I can live with that, based on the results so far.

Not all of them can be pretty. It was clear that this game was about nothing but the W, no matter how it was going to get done.

Defense showed up and took it to them. ND offense was more vanilla then anything the Michigan defense did.

Get a bye week to recoup and off to Chi-town for Miami!

Love this team!

my observations:

1. Tuitt is still a beast
2. Teo is a top 10 NFL draft pick
3. Glad to see Nix not seriously hurt. Looked bad at first.
4. Would have like to see Wood in at the end of the game, but Theo did great.
5. Never been a Rees fan and never will, but I did think we needed to make a switch tonight. Golson looked scared and confused. His head was never in the game. The spotlight of this game appeared to be too much for him right now.

Holy **** it was shaping up to be the usual. So so so proud of the team. They played very well and a deserved victory. 4-0 against that opening schedule is brilliant.

People can criticize Kelly but he wants to win now, and Tommy offered us that. Golson will still be the starter, but if he doesn't perform and puts a W at risk, he'll get yanked. It was the right call as the victory shows.

Our defense is even better than advertised, but the quality of the front seven masks our secondary deficiencies. They are still there but as the season progresses we should get better and better.

Our offense underperformed against a weaker defense. We have got to improve on the offensive side of the ball. We should have blown that game open in the first half, but we failed to give the D enough help. Luckily for us they pulled through and held time after time.

I'm not complaining about anything but there are some realities we need to be cognizant of as we progress through the season. Keep it coming!

1. Our defense is outstanding. They were on the field almost the entire ****ing game and had as many turnovers as points allowed.

2. Our offensive line is pathetic.

3. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

This is the first time in a long time where I enjoyed watching Notre Dames Defense more than its Offense every time they're on the field. It says a lot, but still Ill take a dominant D over a Dominant O any day. Go Irish! One win at a time

1) ND is one of the best tackling football teams in College Football. That made all the difference tonight.

2) This year's team doesn't need great things from it's QB. As much as I didn't like him last year, Tommy is a huge asset to this team right now....

3) But not as huge as Manti. The man has changed the attitude of the program, he's got everybody in that locker room playing for their "family". If this month was not just a fluke and ND has returned as a program, Teo will go down as one of the greatest- and most important- players to ever wear an Irish uniform.

Reference to #3, maybe a little in the 2nd half, but you are crazy if you think they got pushed around tonight. I watched with 2 non - Irish fans and even they were impressed with our front.

1. This teams leader is Teo. This man his nothing but beast!!!

2. Tommy Rees? Wow how huge has he been for this program. He is earning a lot of respect from the ND fans.

3. The defense still played pretty good tonight. Coach Diaco is calling pretty good games and having an awesome game plan.

4. Our O-line isnt as good as we all thought it was. They need alot of work and need to get better. Our strong suite is supposed to be running the ball and we are avaerage.

5. Kyle was perfect in a big game and he was unphased.

Help Michigan to less points than Alabama which would only mean one thing, Our defense is better than Alabama's

Also when are we gonna put up the W on the front page? I am excited!

how great was it that Michigan asked for a measurement and it was a first down. I think everyone in the place was preparing for fourth down!!!

Did you watch the 3rd quarter? Michigan didn't have 11:00+ minutes of possession because the battle for the line of scrimmage was a draw.

Our defensive line in no way got pushed around tonight. You have to play differently against a special quarterback like Robinson. It's all about maintaining rush lanes and containment. It's also difficult to dominate against the run when they are running straight QB zone plays (with 10 blockers).

Diaco's gameplan was perfect. Make Michigan execute long drives. Make them convert 3rd downs. Force Robinson to beat you with short and medium passes. Don't give up big plays, make them yourself.

Our OL isn't nearly as good as I thought before the season. Trying to figure out why. Maybe Heistand isn't as good as we thought?

Funny how a year changes things for Tommy.

Good
D-Line is great (Tuitt and Day played very well).
D-backs weren't great but did an amazing job of keeping their eyes on the ball.
Brindza can kick
Rees being calm and in control

Bad
Kelly was really conservative
what the hell was up with not playing Wood more?
Not getting Eifert involved
Golson looked lost out there

Ugly
Our O-line until the very end
Punting. Ugh

1. Tommy Rees called, he said all of you haters can "SUCK IT!"

Tommy came in and got us the points we needed to get the W. I'm not sure I've EVER seen a team collect as many turnovers as they got points from them. I am sad to say we don't have A quarterback. Kelly did say they were dedicated to EG after the game, so hopefully he becomes THE QB. But he has HUGE accuracy problems...HUGE. (I found myself missing Jimmy again). I like Tommy exactly how BK isusing him...its obvious if teams know he's coming they kill us...when they don't prepare for Tommy, he's still pretty effective.

2. This is a HUGE monkey off of the team's back. They finally slew the dragon that had been Denard Robinson.

Yea...I agree. Winning this game is going to help these guys...their heads and bodies will be in every game here on out...no "not again" mentality...they stomped it tonight.

3. Our front 7 got pushed around pretty good, tonight. I'm going to venture to say that they are damned good, but probably not as good as we all hoped they were.

I don't know what to think there...Lou was dinged up, and I can't venture to say what they were told...I can tell you on a couple balls Denard got off would have been tipped had Manti jumped...but my guess is Dline and everyone was told to stay on the ground and hold gaps and push ...make him nervous, and get him if you can, but don't leave your feet or your lane to do it. Denard got a taste of Dbacks with sack to make plays on the ball. Its whacked out though because the guy cut us up on a drive or two, then he just imploded...cheers to diaco...he saw something that was like cryptonite to Denard.

4. Theo Riddick! Excellent game!

Yea, I thought he was about on par for Theo...he'll get the 3-4 yards with quickness...and he's lowering the pads and driving after contact...he gets tripped up alot...maybe its part of the "make ya miss" type back, but he misses some big runs because someone gets a hand on him. Where the hell was Cierre?

Was great to see the Irish close out another game. Kelly made the right call with Rees and also made the correct call with stating Golson was the man post game (at least IMO). D came up huge as they have all season. Eifert shows up-Day continues with great plays-Manti for Heisman.

I felt more confident w us on def than on offense...tommy came up when needed ...however I was hoping golson to start 2nd half...idc 4-0
