You are right on one point some of them loses we terrible However the loses we have had this year were worse. We beat our selves in most of the loses. Not to mention this coach that you just e-blowed has been out coached terribly.

I got a post or two left in me.....

Out coached? By whose standards? That is an played out term....typically used by folks that don't even really know what being out coached means.

The game plan vs USF was obviously good enough to rack up 500 yards of offense and the D to hold them to low scored points. But turnovers......

The Michigan game plan was solid enough to be up by 17 points late in the 3rd quarter. Yet again.....turnovers and an implosion by our secondary full of seniors with 20 seconds left in the game sealed that one.

USC and Stanford are Top 5 caliber teams who are too much to handle at this point. But really, ND was competitive. Especially USC.....but again turnovers.

And tonight turnovers again.

I am sure BK spent a ton of time trying to fix this issue. If he addressed it with the team half as much as he did with the media I am sure the boys got the message. I say it's a personnel issue....not having what it takes to step up and secure the football.

First and last post......

Brian Kelly. College coach for over 27 years. HC for 20 of those years. 6 Conference Championships, 2 National Championships at the DII level. 1 MAC Championship, 2 Big East Chamionships, BCS games in 2 consecutive years at Cincy. 2 time AFCA Div 2 Coach of the Year, 3 Time Big East Coach of the Year, Home Depot Coach of the Year in 2009. 34-6 at Cincy....

This is the man Notre Dame hired. These accomplishments don't happen by accident. This coach inherited a disaster, a program in ruins for the better part of the last 20 years.

CHECK YOUR EXPECTATIONS. The previous regime won 15 games in their last 3 seasons. Some of those losses were blow outs and embarassing losses to inferior teams.

BK is not on the hot seat, the warm seat, the luke warm seat, or the toilet seat until after year 5. Do not get caught in this cycyle of constantly blaming the current regime for the mess left for them to clean up.

Until any one of you can post similar credentials as the current HC at The University of Notre Dame, just sit back, relax, and watch this thing unfold. As ND fans we are going to take blows from other fans and the media.... so be it.

I love this board for the info on recruiting, very informative, great stuff. But many of you seem to be the CANCER that infests this fanbase with unrealistic expecations and cynical commentary. Get real.

Go Irish

Fantastic points! Reps.

P.S. Please don't let that be your last post- this board needs more level-headed people like you.

P.P.S. I dig the name! But this is an ND board, so odds are you'll only get 2-3 years to prove your point before you get canned.

When will our offense begin to look like a fast paced spread offense?

when kelly has the right qb to run it. reese and hendrix is not it in my opinion. I really hope golson is the man.

The original game plan was great. Take away the interception in the end zone and the missed field goal, and it is a blow out at half. But the problem lies in the adjustments that were made, the defense got soft, and basically got pushed around in the second half, And the offense just plain sucks, I thought BK was an offensive guy.

And to say that Rees doesnt fit the system is weak, didnt BK recruit him? Then he should fit his style. Until we get a QB or a coach who can adjust to his players, were going to be 8-5 every year.

Rees was Charlie's recruit.

I woke up this morning feeling a little more reflective of last night. Not better mind you but w/o some of emotions and frustrations of last nights game.

I've been a fan for such a long time. Was excited when I found this board almost 5 years ago. Good insights (mostly) and good recruiting info, felt like I was more involved with the program.

I've learned though this extra involvement causes me to get so caught up in the moments that I lose sight of what I'm a fan of.

I need to remind myself that these are kids who are developing into men, that the fact I know more than 5 years ago really has nothing to do with my fan hood.

All of the great programs have gone through tough times, Alabama, Oklahoma, USC, Michigan, Ohio State.... Yea, our struggles have have lasted longer but we try to do it the right way. Higher academic standards, 4 year scholarship commitments, no gray shirting, no over recruiting, highest graduation rate in the country, etc.....

I don't know when but we will be back. We don't have that one player yet that can load the team up and carry it. Maybe he's on the roster and will develop into it, maybe it's one of this year's recruits. Who knows?!

And the end of today, and all days, I still love what Notre Dame is about and will continue to be a fan. I love college football and Notre Dame's place in it. Admittedly some days I love more than others but it's still love.

There's not a kid on the roster I wouldn't want in my home or as a friend. How many teams can I say that about?

My patience is tested until I remember why I am a fan.

To those on the ledge... take a step back. Kelly's recruits are ballers, and our current class of verbals is incredible.

Any armchair QB can pick apart the coaching in a losing effort after the fact; Kelly has won big everywhere he's been, and it's nothing short of miraculous that we're 8-5 considering the TOs we've had this year.

Our defense played well enough to win; fell apart a bit in the 4th quarter, but still well enough to win. This loss is squarely on QB play.

Rees shouldn't start another game for ND, and count me among those concerned that Hendrix isn't the guy. He was very raw coming in, and we can't afford to float another year on a project only to find out that his ceiling is lower than we hoped. Golson for 2012.

Yarp. I am actually more interested in who ND finds to replace Molnar as QB coach as opposed to coordinator (who I expect to be an in-house promotion). Molnar was a part of some extremely prolific offenses at Cincy but he didn't coach the QBs until he came to ND. Unfortunately, I think it showed a little bit these past two seasons. I am hoping that Kelly looks outside his staff to find the missing ingredient here because I doubt the solution to the issues has been in South Bend all this time watching this go down.
