Man, this team is just full of studs, yet we can't win. If I'm a recruit, I go somewhere else. Is ND really not coming back; we sound like the Cubs, wait til next year.

If I'm a recruit I see how close they are. I say if I was carrying the ball, I wouldn't have fumbled, I would have looked for the ball and ND would have won. Neither USF nor UM beat ND.

i know how cubs fans feel. Why do I put myself through it, as i stated in another thread my cloud nine is gonna wear off and i fear for the ranting, but yea we will never be good again ever. To those of you who want Kelly fired...ask yourself this: Who the Hell you plan on replacing him with? The "best" coaches in the country are never going to come here! Why would they? They have to deal with enormous media attention, national (if not worldwide) pressure, high academic standards, and a moral barometer. If you're one of the "best"...go coach in the SEC or PAC-12 and not worry about those things! I think Kelly is a decent enough coach, and certainly the best we can get right now (as evidenced by those that have spurned us or the ones we've gotten lately).

I think this team is pretty good all around. In some places on the depth chart they are pretty average, but really the issue is terrible fundamentals and mental lapses. Sure, some of that is coaching...but at the end of the day, players still have to go out and do what you tell them, how you tell them to do it. Simply put, this Irish team is just mediocre at best because of these unforced errors regardless of who's coaching.

My 2 cents.

• I am not sure what happened to the defense in the 2nd half, or did UM just make the adjustments and our defense really just sucks?
  
• Gary Gray should not see the field ever again.
  
• 3rd & 1 and you run it into the teeth of the defense? WHY NOT THROW IT TO THE GUY WHO NO ONE CAN STOP. Seriously, you setup to run the ball and they know we are going to run it.
  
• Kelly's play calling in the 2nd half was very suspect.
  
• 23 seconds, 80 yards. HOW IS ANYONE THAT WIDE OPEN? Denard isn't going to take off, there isn't enough time.
  
• Turnovers. Where did this habit get learned. And yes it is now a habit. Redzone is a 90% turn over rate, or seems like it.
  
• Denard is not over rated, no one ever said he was a lights out passer. Should have been down at the 10 on that one series and yet weaved his way in through the pylons that were our guys to the 1.
  
• What is with the constant running out the play clock to get the plays in. This offense was supposed to be lightning quick, getting the plays in, reading the D and resetting as necessary. Rees calling audibles with under 10 seconds on the play clock and burning timeouts is unacceptable to me.

This year is gone after 2 games. If these turnovers do not stop we will be lucky to win a game this year. So much as the last 7 years, the offense is unstoppable, and the defense is just as bad. Diaco's light just got a little dimmer imo.

I am so mad right now I want to punch a sack of kittens AND puppies, with maybe one baby thrown in for good measure.

My biggest observation is that some of you people f*cking DISGUST me! You whiney f*cks expect these players to play their hearts out, every play of every game. And when they drop two games in a row because of sloppy play(and pure dumb bad luck), you throw in the towel and start saying things like "we suck". WE don't suck........you do. Man up and act like you expect these kids to act. Stay the course, or jump on over to another f*cking team's bandwagon. This team has as much talent and ability as any ND team has had, since the Holtz years. They even have played very well, in long spurts. They just are missing that "something" that brings it all together. If they put it together, there's nothing stopping them from becoming that team that gels and looks like one of the best teams in the country, at the end of the year. In the meantime, STFU or move on. Some of you people are absolutely pi$$-poor examples of the human spirit.

I cannot believe some of the comments I am seeing here aimed at the coaches and players...such gems as "so-and-so is a bum," "so-and-so sucks," "he should quit life"...are you f***ing serious?!?!? It is a game.

What happened to all the "so-and-so is a genius," "so-and-so should be All-American," and "we are BCS-bound" optimism that was so prevalent two weeks and two days ago?

wel iew here today but i will say i've been a nd fan all my life. and this is the worst coached team i've ever seen a well coached team doesn't committ 7 turnovers in 2 weeks that's why we are 0and 2 . and no wonder the top recruits don't come here.

POSITIVE: Brindza rocks... guy puts it within the 5 with great hang time every time except when we want to make sure there is no return and he gets it almost through the end zone.

NEGATIVE: Gray... no comments bc there is almost no excuse for your performance tonight... Cousins is gonna have a field day with you!!! Turk... we need to get someone/anyone else out there asap. There must be players on the female soccer team that can do better than him under pressure!!!

KELLY: The guy isn't a god and will need more time than we all had hoped for to teach these kids how to win. They are true experts at finding new and innovative to loose.

QB: Tommy boy ain't bad but we need to at least see Hendrix out there in the coming weeks bc Tommy ain't the QB we need to play at the level we all hope for.

You know, the other player that has been overlooked in our discussion and rage is Ben Turk. His punting has been inconsistent and poor. I can't believe they muffed two long snaps, but between last week and this week, the special teams have made several huge and costly mistakes.

What are you referring to? He caught some pretty clutch passes IMO.

I sure hope the verbal commits stay on, they could really really help us. I would love to see Deontay G take over for Floyd, and Darby and Tee take over for our corners and that alone would help a ton. And Jones and Day in on the rotation. Sounds great.

I would love for the recruits to band together and say help is on the way. Hope so.

This team continues to amaze me with its creative ways of finding ways to lose. I don't see progress and I'm sick and tired of being up 3 on Michigan late in the game and giving up a touchdown. 4 times in 3 years?

Gary Gray was brutal but let's be real. The whole team played bad.

What really hurts is we lost our first two games to teams in which we didn't get screwed at all by the refs and the other team didn't play particularly impressive. What does that say about ND.

I can sit here and second guess a lot of things....the INTs, the Robinson pass when we had him on the ankles, the Rees fumble, the Gray pass interference, etc. But bottom line is no matter what we were going to lose this game some way.

IMO, there are two guys that can turn this around besides Kelly, that would be a reasonable hire. One calls college games for ESPN and already spurned us once. The other calls games for Monday Night Football.
