The aclu is lost. A specific app is protected under the 1st amendment. By that logic, one would think they also recognize a specific gun is allowed under the Second…

It doesn't have anything to do with zer/xims right to receive information from China. The problem is it's basically spyware sending all your info, unbeknownst to you, back to China. Is they/them being intentionally obtuse?

I mean I hear you and I agree most everyone is well aware of what TikTok is and that it’s spyware but what does that mean relative to say all the other apps that monitor and report your behaviors? I mean even retailers have cameras that have AI that track your behavior in a store and document and compile how long you spend in a section , what is that section, how did you get there what other sections did you stop at before etc. obviously all the algorithms are designed to understand who you are and what you like. That’s what was up with the Facebook micro targeted ads I. 2016 for the Trump campaign which also was provided to Russian hacking groups. That how they knew who to target with specific ads to reinforce or flip votes against a Hilary.

I guess I’m not totally sure TikTok is alone here. People everywhere pay a lot of money for access to your data, behavior, and trends. It’s how they all the apps and data collection people make money and you can’t opt out it it is basically in the terms of agreement when you use it. The only way to not be tracked or monitored is to not use it. Is this a first amendment issue? To me the real violation of my rights is the constant tracking of my personal conscious and unconscious behaviors.

Can I put strippers in public? Can I put exotic dancers in a school?

Would you put your kid here?

We’re they forced to attend? To stay? Held at gunpoint? Every person in there is laughing and having fun it seems. Drag shows are fun and entertaining. Its ok if you don’t want to go then don’t go. Lol super serious issue here. Seems more like a parental issue for the parents to worry about rather than the entertainers. I was more commenting on the public nazi thanking the Governor for going after fags and drags. Lol.

Would I put my kid there? Sure it’s no big deal. We were on a cruise and a drag performer/comedy and music performed and was hilarious and he loved it. I wouldn’t avoid it and I’d explain the situation just like I do everything else. I’m sure those infants will remember clearly what they saw. Haha 😂

I mean we all grew up with men in drag on tv all the time. One of the most beloved tv characters of all time was in drag

All this is a new culture war issue by gop to hate on someone they don’t like. What they are going after for wokeness is just a projection of their insecurities and hate.

Serious question-

If the good people of Tennessee don't want their children exposed to sexual concepts and new gender ideology, why can't they do that?
If the good people of California want their kids to learn anal sex from a bearded woman in a thong and halter top, that is their right. I don't have to live in California, and you don't have to live in Tennessee.

It seems logical to me to prevent bizarre sexual behavior and grooming activities from occurring in public or schools. Why can't we just let the states live as they want within the parameters of the Constitution?

Looks like they were forced to leave in this incident. People shouldn't have to deal with this.

My bigger problem is that the ACLU, a once important organization, is now completely worthless and a mouthpiece for liberals. Unbelievably garbage position for the ACLU.

What are you talking about lol. Drag isn’t a bizarre sexual behavior. Lmaoooooo it’s entertainment. I guess I may be a bit jaded. I’ve gone to Savannah numerous time to see Lady Chablis. Do you love the first amendment? Is it eternal? Immutable?

Ironic you would say this during CPAC.
Did that poke a hole in your thought bubble that everyone who is conservative is in favor of Nazis and fascism? Didn't even know it was going on. If you would go back and dig deeper into these threads, you'd see that I have never supported Nazi's or any of the far right groups.

People don't care about China mining data from the app.

Reasonable folks may think that this doesn't belong in front of children. Many, I would think.

Why are you wanting to impose your sexual entertainment preferences on the good people of Tennessee? Why can't the people's elected representatives decide that this is indeed bizarre and in poor taste? Regulate it.

Again who in those crowds looks put out? Not having fun? This isn’t an imposition. It’s the first amendment in action. Are there limits to the first amendment in your opinion?

It's amazing how "non-partisan" pro-(D)emocracy groups like Meidas Touch and the Lincoln Project are rooting for Trump to win the GOP nomination. So much for caring about "Democracy", right?

The Lincoln Project has been a sham from the start.
It's amazing how many mainstream media outlets have given them a pass. According to the AP and USA Today, the Lincoln Project big wigs knew for nearly an entire year that their co-founder, John Weaver, was preying on and trying to sexually assault younger boys and they tried to cover it up. And when the USA Today and AP articles dropped, Steve Schmidt gave a Kevin Spacey-esque apology and made up some story about he was tortured by a camp counselor named "Gay Ray."

Not in favor, but it certainly isn't the deal breaker that it once was. CPAC is a good example of this.

You could make the same against the Communist convention Democratic Party PACs put on every year.

You're the one making an argument. I never mentioned CPAC in my original post. I would have supported taking that down anywhere, anytime.

If Trump wins the nomination, I really hope he wins the general election. Those people would have no one to blame but themselves.
