It is funny we already have photos of the Situation Room during Hurricane Sandy just as we did during the killing of OBL, but we can't seem to find any during the attack in Libya.

That's because Sandy was a slow moving hurricane and the killing of OBL was planned months in advance. The attack in Libya happened in a few hours.

I don't believe that it is, necessarily.

I am told that soldiers were denied permission to engage from the nearby location and from the at-alert base in Italy. Is this false? I thought I read that drones saw the whole damn thing on camera and did not engage, correct?

Someone, somewhere, apparently had this view of the attack. Someone held the soldiers back from going in and obliterating al-qaeda:

You are not wrong. I agree that more should have been done. My point is that blaming Obama for this is outrageous. I also think Romney was entirely insensitive and hurt himself by politicizing it so soon afterwards (which I'm sure we can all agree on).

I'm sure he did not want to see those people die. I'm sure with the benefit of hindsight things would have been handled much differently. They probably would have been handled differently on 9/11 in NYC, Katrina, etc.

As it pertains to the election, Romney screwed up. As it pertains to real life, Obama may have screwed up. Or it could have been a State Department Decision or a defense decision. I'm not absolving Obama of anything but we have to be realistic about this.

What about Obama's filp on Work for Welfare (which he, disgustingly gutted)? At one point he stated it would have "disasterous results"...but in 2008 it was the "center piece of any social policy".....Only to flip a third time and gut it.

He gave the states power to wavier...now, being that the states would rather just give the waiver, then have to check up on the person...what do you think will happen with that? He is esentially, dropping the work requirements.

My implicit tax rate went down and bank reform saved my company. He also extended bonus depreciation which allowed me to loan more money to companies trying to growing their business by acquiring equipment.

I'm one step closer to being able to legally fish Cuba.

That's just not true. In fact, it's state flexibility that Romney requested while he was governor. The waiver will only be granted IF it increases the speed at which people are transitioned to work.

i have strong beliefs about certain issues, yes. That does not mean I believe everything "dems" believe. Nor does it mean that I think everything Obama does is great.

Lol. His "plan" (if you really want to call it that...) was to do specific things in his first term. Cut the deficit. Cut the debt. Lower healthcare premiums. "More transparency". "No lobbyists". Etc., etc. These are all things that he said would happen in his first term.

So, we should give him a second term to finish the promises he made regarding his first term?

When you are arguing with someone, and defending democrat policies, you may be confused for someone on the left. Not my problem. I'm just calling it how I see it.

.... Blind parasitism is one of the major problems with our country today. I'm happy to say I'm not that way. I don't "side" with whomever is winning otherwise I probably wouldn't have voted for McCain last election.

Your opinions are getting annoying because now they are becoming personal. You seem to know everything about me based on a few debates on a small number of political issues. You don't.

Like I said in an earlier post, there are things I am passionate about (such as foreign policy). The issues I am passionate about sway my vote more than party affiliation.

I have some liberal philosophies and some conservative philosophies. Like for example, I believe that everyone should have access to health care because I believe it is a fundamental human right. However, I also believe in federalism. So that puts me in a position to weigh what I care about more.

I don't blindly believe what "dems" believe and I think it's foolish to "pick a side." You should retain your personal values, morals, beliefs and go with those. Don't just pick republican or democrat and think what they think.
