Right. But his income...you know, the insane $50 million/year or whatever, is taxed. It comes from book sales and speaking fees.

The church he runs may suck. And he may cook the books and abuse that or whatever. But the man pays taxes on tens of millions of dollars. He pays a fuck ton of property taxes on his (absurdly giant) home. The idea that he is treated the same as a parish priest by the IRS appears to be false as far as I can tell on 5 minutes of Google research.

There's a special place in hell for all of these televangelist cunts. Straight up stealing money from gullible poor people.
The list is endless. It's been comical when they get caught being less than evangelical.

Yeah he's the only emotional whining one.
Erm….I’m not emotionally whining at all 😂 it was a question as it makes very little sense to see 718%increase in profits because their price was raised and stayed raised while simultaneously blaming politicians for a global inflation as the price of eggs has been the bellweather for the Brandon’s global inflation issue. What stage of capitalism is this?

Seems to me that higher corporate profits are know to affect and even drive inflation.

They should pay property tax.

I also think that rules around charitable tax deductions need to be significantly tightened. Maybe do something like we did with SALT where you only get 10k per year. A lot of "charitable" giving is hiding corporate profits, getting around inheritance taxes, etc.

So you want churches to pay property taxes (often rather expensive) and then discourage people from donating to them?

Is the goal to bankrupt churches or?
