For those of you who don't have a twitter account, for an ND fan it's not only an invaluable insight into the personalities of some of our players, but it keeps you in touch with whats going on. Sometimes it's boring & mundane like the rest of us but other times it's exciting to hear whats going on. Especially right now as they're in ElPaso for their bowl game.

Some ND player tweets from the past few days....

John Goodman
The hospital visit today opened my eyes and put things in perspective. Met some very strong kids and familys.

Ian Williams
Rise and shine folks.... had a great time ethan the team last night... but we gotta stay focused as to why we are here

Kyle Rudolph
Just saw the kids in the hospital. It was great to see their smiles and high spirits. #Inspired

Dayne Crist

Braxston Cave

Brian Smith

John Goodman
"Yall could be kings but ya'll chose acamademics!" -quote from a Miami player. And yes, that's how he pronounced "academics." Hahahaha.

:(

I think he should remember how the seasons for Clausen and Tate have turned out before making a final decision on leaving. Not to mention its a pretty WR stacked draft this year.

Or he could think about the career Justin Tuck has had so far. Tuck came out of ND early also even though many said that he shouldn't. Now he has a $30 million dollar contract, advertisements, a SB ring, and lives in what many people call a great city.

Leaving early works incredibly well for some, and it doesn't work for others. Selfishly I want them both back (Floyd and Rudolph), and I do think that Floyd would be better served to stay a year. But in the end, I can't blame either for leaving...

What makes it even funnier is that Goodman spelled families as f-a-m-i-l-y-s, in that first tweet.

I know Goodman is probably very intelligent, but I just can't help but chuckle when people make fun of other people for their lack of education, and then go out and spell something incorrectly, or use poor grammar. Just a quirk of mine, I guess.

Could it have been in the possessive sense, as in the family's cat, minus the apostrophe?

There's also a character limit on twitter so there's a chance he spelled it like that so save some letters.

Don't want to defend bad spelling, but what Goodman did is a pop trend in English nowadays: taking words ending in "y" and making them plural just by adding the "s". This would have probably made sense in the formation of the language from the beginning and I would not doubt that it was originally spelt this way way back when. Still, he got lazy in today's terms according to the Queen, so.... P.S. if that was the worst spelling error I had to grade over my career, I'd be delirious. Now I need to end this posting with a spelling error of my own, a sign of humility known historically as the Persian Flaw, so Paece to John Goodman.
