In the 1st quarter I thought Pitt looked good. They got Lewis going, eased Sunseri into the game with some short passes and controlled the tempo. Utah looked a little rusty on offense in the beginning of the game.
Then for the next two quarters the game just flip flopped. Utah's offense is looking pretty darn good. Both Asiata and Wide are good runners, their O-line neutralized Romeus and Sheard, and Wynn looks like a pretty decent QB.
I was impressed with Utah's run defense, which was helped by the fact that Pitt couldn't do much through the air for 3 quarters.
Both teams have weaker secondaries and will struggle defending our passing game. Sunseri came on at the end, but he struggled for most of the night.
Wynn is fairly athletic at QB and he has a really strong arm. His fundamentals are incredibly sloppy though, he's always throwing off his back foot, he gets away with it cause he has a strong arm, but his pick in the end zone was heinous.
I came away thinking Utah is a little better offensively than I thought, and Pitt is about where I thought they'd be. They will only win 8 games if Sunseri can't get team's to worry about him passing instead of keying on Lewis.
