We absolutely are ahead of OSU; they're out now. If Alabama loses today they're out too unless they beat Georgia by 3 scores. Might even be out regardless judging by today's performance so far. Big 12 jumping us is a coin flip. A B12 champ Oklahoma St might depending on how dominant they look while getting there, but I don't think Oklahoma jumps us no matter what. The committee hasn't liked them all year.
Depending on how things go the rest of the night and in conf championships, we could even conceivably rise to a 3 seed when all is said and done.
I can barely comprehend this mentality some of us have where there's no way we get in ahead of Bama or OSU (with 2 losses??) or a B12 champ. We are ND. We'll get the benefit of the doubt over many teams. And then there's the mentality that says we'll get trounced by OSU/BAMA in a NY6 or by Georgia as a 4 seed... I don't think ND gets blown out by anybody. Not this year and not with this field.
It's sort of like the opposite of the fair-weather fan: the fear-of-success fan. Or maybe the George Costanza fan?
