Ok, I may be the only one here who cares about the fight, but just how much of a punk is Mayweather? All this accusations over Manny using steroids, even though he has never tested positive, is getting out of hand. Manny has filed a defamation suit, and I want to know what chances he has of wining the case. I hope Manny wins, or Floyd doesn't ask for such ridiculous drug testing. Sorry, I know this is an Irish forum, but I needed to type how much I think the Mayweathers are assholes.

Hard to know... I was thinking that it's simply psychological games being played by Mayweather's camp as that sort of thing happens all the time in boxing (by the way, Jones Jr. vs Toney is #1 all time for pre-fight smack talk in my opinion). Maybe they want a larger share of the$? Who really knows.

If they do fight, Mayweather by decision.

Actually that is why Manny fought Cotto in the first place. There were talks of a fight, but Mayweather wanted it to be 60/40 in his favor, which doesn't make sense because Manny is the one drawing the crowds.

What made me laugh was Floyd's statement about the drug testing situation.

"I understand Pacquiao not liking having his blood taken, because frankly, I don't know anyone who really does," said Mayweather. "But in a fight of this magnitude, I think it is our responsibility to subject ourselves to sportsmanship at the highest level. I have already agreed to the testing and it is a shame that he is not willing to do the same."

Floyd talking about sportsmanship is a joke.

Floyd is just a little chicken shit that doesn't want to get his ass kicked, which explains my avatar.

Pacman has every right to be pissed. WHen it first came out, Floyd's camp made it seem like Pac didn't want to be tested at all. I was shocked and pissed myself at Pac. Then I read the truth, and now I REALLY want to see Pac whoop his ass. I never liked Floyd (respected his game...but can't stand the guy AT ALL), but the way he brought about the whole steroid thing made me him dislike him even more. All this prefight b.s. that the Floyd camp is doing makes me seriously doubt whether they really even want this fight. Pacquiao is a helluva a fighter that will hurt that pretty little face of Floyd's, and they know it...

"Floyd is just a little chicken shit that doesn't want to get his ass kicked" - Maybe he's never had anyone do it right... ;)

I think that it's all just posturing. As you well know, boxing is hugely psychological and, again as you mentioned, at this stage has everything to do with money. I like Pac-man and think that he deserves the Ring Magazine pound-for-pound title right now. However, I still think that Mayweather would win the decision. What I think doesn't matter though, I'd like to see it settled in the ring.

You guys don't get it, you're all being sucked in.

This is boxing at it's best, hyping you up, it's probably all been fabricated to build up even more hype.

Boxing has done this for years, hell, generations. Get a clue.

What's so wrong with getting sucked in?

No shit dude. They are doing what they can to hype the fight, and if steroid accusations are in the cards, then so be it. Whether this is true or just hype, I don't care. Boxing NEEDS this fight. If this fight does not occur, boxing is officially dead, which is unfortunate because I prefer it to MMA, which is still good.

Seems to me that this is what we've all been implying.

But I'm cool with it, as long as we get a good fight. One where Manny gets a one punch K.O.

In the end the inevitable will happen. The fight will go on and Pacman will kill Mayweather. And lots of people will make lots of money off this fight.

That just pissed me off when I seen the news last night. If this doesn't happen then boxing is dead to me too...

Golden Boy productions....

This is why boxing is losing to MMA, etc. (and society also likes to watch guys beat the snot out of each other and boxing has become mild in that respect. Watch Tony Zale fights, my grandfather grew up with him and boxed him in golden gloves back in the day in Gary)

Mayweather has been running from Pacquiao for 2 years now. I dont see this fight ever happening. Mayweather cares more about staying undefeated and chose to live with the boxing world challenging his manhood by ducking this fight. His choice; now let the coward live with the fallout.

Pac-Man would whoop the crap out of Mayweather. He's too scared for this fight to ever happen.

he's 42-0

I doubt fear is creeping in his mind. They wanted olympic style testing in the beginning, manny refused. It has snowballed to this.

I don't know if he is scared but I know he doesn't want a loss on his record before he retires. As of right now Pac Man is the one who could probably give it to him or at least give him his toughest test

Honestly I think both parties are at fault for having stalled the fight. However, all Pacquiao's camp has done recently has been to say that this fight will never happen. Now with Mayweather calling him out and even setting the date, theres only one thing Pacquiao can do to avoid losing this stare down.

It's ridiculous to say Floyd is scared to fight Manny.. ridiculous. The guy is 42-0 and arguably the greatest defensive fighter ever. There is no doubt that Manny would be his biggest test but I still think he wins this bout.

Like previously noted he requests and participates in the same testing for every fight in which every opponent has agreed to. It's a battle of egos right now, mainly Floyds.. its not a fear or ducking issue.

The majority may disagree but Floyd is the better boxer and is maybe the only guy that has the skills to temper Mannys relentless, brutal attacks. He wins in 12.

Pacquiao might be the only human that Diaco would fear in combat. Then again, Diaco would be smart enough to make sure he was on Pacquiao's side.
